My luck sure hasn't been the best lately. It seems like it's bound to be time for it to finally turn around lol.

@cheriereThat is terrible and they are absolutely not only incompetent but they took advantage of you...shame on them!!! I am so sorry that this happened to you. Top Management and Corporate need to hear about this...absolutely outrageous! They need to rectify this, pronto.
Thanks for your response. Sometimes I have trouble speaking up for myself and somehow they can immediately tell this. It sure would be nice to be able to go places like this without feeling the need to bring my dad or a man along.

please tell me you're not paying any extra money for tomorrow's repairs. Also, insist on a rental free of charge due to the way all this was mishandled. Your time and comfort is every bit as valuable as theirs. On the way out you might want to stop by the owner's office to have a little chat.

@ cheriere sorry you are dealing with car problems especially when they didn't fix it today ! 6 hrs ! I know you were exhausted. I do hope they fix it correctly when you go back and they should discount your repair.

I hope you charged the expense....contest the charge with your credit card company immediately
If you paid cash or by check, you may want,to talk to a lawyer.
No way would I pay for a part that was working nor for the labor to replace the working part.
The state attorney general's office and the Federal Commerce Commission should be notified in writing. Perhaps your local TV station could be notified to do an expose on this dealership.

@cheriere So sorry this happened to you. I always took my car to the dealer, and yep, they see us coming. I worked near the dealership, I'd leave it all day for an inspection. Last time I took it, it still was not done at 6 pm. My appt was 730 am. I did push for a loaner and they did give it to me. (No charge, you had it 10.5 hours). The next day, I said I had an appt at noon, and it HAD to be done. They were. And I picked it up and went back to work. So annoying. Just taking advantage knowing some woman may not speak up. I've learned a thing or two on when to speak up.

No, he promised there wouldn't be any additional charge whatsoever. So, we'll see.

I don't know what I was thinking, but like an idiot I did pay by check! If they don't follow through with fixing the passenger door sensor with a new part and zero charges, I'll have to get in touch with someone. I'm taking a screenshot of your post so I can remember what you said. Thank you.😃❤️

Thank you for your kind words. I really do appreciate your knowing just how I feel.❤️
I am getting better about speaking up. In fact, I did today. But, I guess it wasn't enough. I just don't want to be rude to people.

@cheriere - I stopped taking my car (all purchased new) to the dealership years back.
While I was having an oil change, they said I needed the rear brakes replaced. Then the rotors, etc., which I expected because turning the rotors isn't always successful.
My car was in there for 1 1/4 hours. When I got the bill, I was livid. Nearly $700! They charged me for 3 1/2 hours of labor. I challenged it, as I'd been sitting in their waiting room the whole time and was told "It's the estimated time for the job."
I said "Fine, but my car has only been here for 1 1/4 hours." (And that included the time for them to come get me to say my car was ready!) They wouldn't budge; they go by the "estimated time for the repair". I put a flea in their ear and said I'd never be back and I haven't been.
So they're blatantly ripping off their customers. I did write and file a complaint, but got nowhere. I take my car to an independent garage I can trust. (Oh and I got them to replace the front brakes plus a couple of other minor things. Less than $290!)
My DH's car needed the rear brakes replaced around the same time and I took his there, too.
