@Anonymous032819  I know they have always been used in the NY subways. Don't know if they still are.


@Anonymous032819 , @proudlyfromNJ : Much of the tile work in the NYC subways is over 100 years old. White tiles installed in a brick wall pattern are often the background for ornate mosaic signs.
