Re: Archie Means 'Truly Brave'

Lindsay's Grandma,

I think you are on to something that will most likely occur: the young Archie will be called "Arch" by his playmates and close friends (as well as his parents).

Your post made me think of the TV movie and entertainment critic Arch Campbell.  He was an institution on local TV, but, at one point, he was nationally televised.

Arch has a certain strength about it that Archie, to my ear, does not have.  A personal aural prejudice, I am sure.

I would never name a child Archie when there are so many nice sounding names for boys to choose from. I guess it won't bother him though, small price to pay for all the fame, wealth and privilege that awaits him. Really cute baby.

@blackhole99   Too bad they didn't ask you to name their baby.

A "small price to pay"?  The baby isn't a week old yet and already people are predicting doom and gloom in his future because his name is Archie.

@Cakers3  where do you and the six other people who hearted your post, get gloom and doom out of the my post. I just don't like the name.
