For those who were not aware the phrase used was derogatory to a certain segment of the population, now you know and will be sensitive to that going forward.

QVC did the right thing and apologized to everyone for the error.

When we know better, we do better...hopefully.

@Kachina624   I too am offended that QVC would send out a racist email.  apologizing to everyone was appropriate.  It would have been even better if the email had never gone out, if no one would have thought to write it.

I got the apology email. Frankly, I don't buy Lug products.  They've never worked for me so I deleted the email without even opening it. Sounds like no one was reviewing the marketing material. Shame on them.

@NYCLatinaMe.  The faux pas was probably made by some poor underling of a clerk who had no clue about the possible insult or that the vendor was Asian.  Totally inadvertant error of something very obscure from fiction.  The quote, taken alone, sounds like a lovely thought.  Maybe AI did it.
