It's interesting. I've ordered a lot from Walmart and with free delivery, I just have it arrive at the house. Never had an issue with anything breaking, loose and not being as advertised.

From the few times we've used Amazon, we've dealt with wrong items sent, broken items received, FAKE items received and a PITA situation with returns.

I'll take Walmart over Amazon. Then again, for the bulk of name brand items, I go to the brands' website first and then compare shop with QVC/HSN and THEN hit Walmart. But Amazon isn't a place we shop due to poor results for US.

We have and love Amazon Prime amd I so used to the website, but still, it's always good to have competition. If the overall price is better on WM or anywhere else, I'll go for it.

I also have Prime, but only buy it if and when it's on sale, as it was last fall- 20% off for one day only.  DS very rarely uses my account for purchases, and found a way to use my Prime for what he really wants at his own house: series on TV to supplement Netflix (and cable!)

I am happy that I have Prime right now, as other DS is deployed overseas and they ship free to APO addresses. Shipping takes two weeks, not two days, LOL!

It's all good: I am an equal opportunity shopper. Both Amazon and Wal-mart wish I spent as much with them as I do on ebay.

Love it.  My only issue with Walmart is selection but I'm sure they'll improve.

I've actually discovered Target which ships free at $25 and their delivery is really quick.  They did next day at Christmas which I did not pay for and then my last order was at my door in 3 days.

I've also done pick up at store which could not have been handled better after two disasters at Walmart and Toys R Us who apparently just didn't want my money and never responded to my order.

@Laura14 I also found Target ships a $25 purchase free a while back. I use it when they have the best price for what I'm looking for. I guess you save more with their red card but I don't have one. We don't have a Target in our area.

@Nightowlz  I don't have their card either.  I do have a Target but it's by the mall and I hate the traffic.  So when they put my Lara bars on sale, they are cheaper than Amazon and I don't have to wait two weeks because I refuse to be a Prime member and give them more money.

I ordered from Walmart twice and was an item that my husband said was sold out at the store.....his favorite mints supersized.  Both shipments arrived very fast and packaging was not inferior to Amazon or anyone else.   I suppose I could have ordered the same thing from Amazon but it does bother me at times when you don't know who the vendor is.

I love the Walmart stores and ocassionally, I order online and pick it up at the store.  I like that.  But, there is no way that Walmart can compete with Amazon.  They are not even in the same class.

Boo.  What they are really doing is TAKING AWAY THEIR FREE SHIPPING for anything program, which was almost always two day shipping.  Their new free two day is only for SOME ITEMS and you have to spend a minimum of $35.

Target has an even better plan: Use their charge card and anything you want is FREE SHIPPING.  Not two days, but you don't have to order $35 worth, it's for any little or big order.

If you get a Target Red Card (charge card), EVERYTHING you order using the card is FREE SHIPPING.

We have ordered several times from Walmart, free shipping and shipped right to our house. Nice.

I just ordered two Emjoi Micro-Pedi Pro Rechargeable Callus Removers from Amazon. They were nearly $80 a piece at QVC plus shipping charges. I got them for just under $30 and no shipping with Amazon. Less than half! That was a great discovery.

Boom. I've been shopping there more since amazon has gotten more greedy.
