I have it, but I don't feel like I'm getting my monies worth.  When jet opened, I moved some of my shopping over there.  Undecided if I'll renew.

Re: Amazon Prime

[ Edited ]

I just noticed an additional change in Prime delivery options.  The item I wanted only has "business day" options.  So if I order today, Prime delivery would be in 2 business days (the 9th).  If I opt to pay shipping, delivery would be 1 business day, and I would get it on the 8th.

This is the first item I have come across with only "business day" choices.

ETA: I ordered a different Prime item today is which is scheduled to arrive on Sunday (6th) - the usual shipping time.  There were no "business day" selections.

For us it's worth the $8.80 a month though I have a hard time finding the free monthly books.

I've noticed a slip in the 2 day shipping.  I just made a Prime purchase, and it's saying it will arrive on Wednesday, December 9.  If it is supposed to arrive in 2 business days, that means it should be here on Tuesday.  In the past couple months, even if I ordered something on a Monday morning, the item would still not show up until Thursday.  It has not been like this in the past.

It's worth it to me, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's worth it to you.

That is what you must assess - YOUR use of Amazon - and that will give you the answer you seek.

BTW, as to tv viewing, Amazon has some original programming now, also, and I've enjoyed some shows.  Plus you have tv shows and movies that are free to view if you have Prime, but there is a cost if you don't.  But this is another area where if you would be using it, it would be worth it.  If not, it's not.  Smiley Happy

LOVE Amazon Prime!  I order frequently through the year & don't have to order more of something in an effort to cut shipping costs when I can order as needed.  Yes, it may cost a dollar or two more for Prime Items, but I've more than made up thru the year.  Love getting my order in 2 days and even delivered on Sunday and holidays!

Not sure what you mean by watching their shows......items are offered on-line.  Just search for, your desired item & specify Prime Only

What do you mean by this?  Do you mean you can't find the one Kindle First books or all the free books or you have a hard time finding one you like?

For us, it is worth it.  My husband really watches a lot of the free shows and movies. Plus I'd say we buy something 2-3 times per month and the free overnight shipping is great.   You just have to do the math for your own family's usage.
