At some point it seems like most people have everything they want. For that reason, as it does apply to us, we just stopped the christmas shopping altogether several years ago. It's been great! ![]()
I did my christmas shopping at the grocery store this morning - a greeting card for my father and one for my husband. done and done.

I feel your pain! Normally I enjoy going to B&M stores to Christmas shop. This year time is running out and I find I have done most online. Hope you find some time soon! Merry Christmas!

Six month old children are ready for card board books that can be read to them, quality wood stacking toys, balls that make noise, touch and feel toys, etc. Two years of age are ready for books that are short in length, blocks, small wood cars, animals, the possibilities are endless. Any quality toy store will be able to help you with gifts. A 29 year old that lives in an urban area would like quality speakers, beer of the month club, paddle board lessons, if you live by water, itune gift card, tools, new pair of shoes, clothes to wear to work. Your husband? A nice new cologne, tickets to a new play for the both of you, hot air baloon date, new slippers, beer/cheese of the month club, new beer glasses, new sun glasses, new hand tools. Hope this helps...

I will just throw this in here. Specialty magazines. They make them for every interest. Toys from Lakeshore Catalog. They group them by age and no junk.

Are your son and husband into tech or electronics? Because there is always something new there.
How about Dr. Dre, Beats headphones, or a less expensive brand for your son? A tablet for your husband? Amazon has their own brand now at an affordable price.
Check out Amazon also for best selling baby gifts in the 6 month stage. Or start those babies on a growing library and choose some classics for them. I don't mean heavy tomes, but the smaller versions like "Good Night Moon."

For the children, perhaps books (as mentioned by someone else), very nice, keep for the next generation books. And toys not from China, but handmade wood toys, like from Amish shops, or made by local craftsmen, that will be handed down as well. While they are still little, and not asking for specific things, is a great time to give heirloom gifts, if the parents are the kind to take care of them and keep them for the next generation.
Give experiences, instead of things. Tickets to a play or symphony, an amusment park or zoo for families.

Back in the day when I did run around from mall to mall and store to store; I made it easier on myself by deciding what I wanted for everyone on my list before I stepped foot into any store. I can imagine it must be awful to wander around hoping to luck a nice gift. Sit down, make a list. Decide what you want and how much you want to spend. That list wlll determne what stores or malls to go to. I shop 99% online now but I still make lists. I'd get no where with a list. Also, my adult daughters and their husbands and my hubby are hard to shop for. Everry has everything! So, in early November, I ask each of them for a list of 5 things they would like for Christmas. And then I select something from the list. That way I know I am buying something they want and they are still surprised because they don't know what they will get. Hubby and I have been doing the list thing since early in our marriage. Not knowing any thing about the people in your life or your budget, it's not possible to make any suggestions.

Speaking of lists, my BIL keeps a wish list on Amazon. What a help that is! because he always chooses things I've never heard of, lol. Obscure music, books in a new language he's teaching himself, wine probably no one here has heard of.
Easy, I check what we want sent to him, say what we want on the card, and done.
Tell your friends and relatives a wish list would be of help ![]()
