I know I could watch the videos on my laptop, but I would rather watch them on TV.
Do you have Broadband Cable or DSL? If so, do you have Wi-Fi access in your home. You will need those to be able to stream Amazon Movies. You will also need a Smart TV or some other type of device to connect to the Amazon Movies. The faster your Internet download speed the better.
I have DSL with a 15mbps speed. Netflix suggest a least a 25mbps download speed to stream 4k movies to my 4k TV, but my 15mbps speed streams their 4k content, with no buffering, just fine to my tv set.
Now this is just a question to you, not meant as any sort of put down, or me being patronizing to you. Many do not know about some of the things(terminology) of electronics I mention above.
Here is my question to you. Do you know the topics I talk about above? If not, ask me about what you don't understand, and I will try to simplify as much as I know how. There are a lot of people here, or on the Electronics Forum, that I am sure will explain anything I said above.

@hckynutjohn I don't think you're being patronizing. I don't understand a lot of technical things. I have cable and Wi-Fi, and I have a Tivo Premiere. I'm not sure what broadband cable is, but I have my cable through Comcast. I think my Tivo may be a little too old to work for Amazon Prime. I bought it in 2011. I checked what I had on the Tivo website, and then I found the place on Amazon that tells what will work with their movies. The # of my Tivo Premiere is different than what they show. If I can't watch the movies I won't join Prime.
If I can't use my Tivo for the Amazon movies I would be willing to buy something else as long as it wasn't too expensive. My problem is that it's difficult for me to figure out how to hook things up. I don't have anyone to help me.

Not two day shipping, though. I get things in about five days or so.
Plus, ya get 5% off of your order!

So does Nordstrom and you can use any card.

You're right, and I have ordered from them several times!
I get MAC specials for my daughter sometimes and order online from Nordies.

@DiAnne wrote:All this talk of pet food made me feel like I was missing out. I just checked what Amazon was charging for the dog food I usually purchase at Costco. Amazon is not even close price wise. Also it was not eligible for prime.
I realize for some who are physically challenged this would be a great convenience but happily I can still drag the big bag of dog food home - not as easily I used to be able to but still can do it!
I don't order dog food because I can't carry the bag. I order it because they only carry Fromm at one store in my town, and it's not close to me. It's just easier for me to order it. I don't order from Amazon though. I order from Chewy.

Thank you @jaxs mom! I don't know why I thought my Tivo Premiere wouldn't work then. I didn't see that page, but that says it works with all of the Tivo Premieres. Thanks so much for posting that.

@I checked out that link and read the instructions. Do you know if @Nicknack will be able to watch the Free Amazon Movies etc?
Also, are these movies downloaded as a full programmed recording, or do that have to use streaming to be to watch them?
I got the impression that these would record to her TiVo, but that didn't seem clearly explained to me from what I read.
My Amazon Movie watching, which is via streaming, is strictly the Freebies. I dropped all my Premium Channels with Dish Network as I decided Netflix would be a whole lot cheaper per month.
I have watched several Free Amazon Prime Movies, but only the free ones.
Hey, thanks for helping out with this particular topic, I appreciate your help.

Both the cat food and cat litter I buy on Amazon monthly are less expensive than I can get it locally. Both are heavy items and having it delivered to my door, or in the case of the cat litter inside the door (thank you L.) in two days is worth the price of prime.
I'm curious what cat food you buy. I checked Fancy Feast and Purina one and both are around 10 cents a can higher on Amazon than Wegmans and Giant where I shop in the Philly area. And that's in the 24 pack.

For movies and TV shows you may want to check yr libraries for Hoopla you can stream video from yr laptop to yr TV. No charge another alternative to Amazon. I have been using this for audio books recently

I haven't used the Prime movie streaming recently, because I use Netflix most of the time on my Tivo, but it only streamed and did not download from what I remember when I used it before. Now with Tivo and Netflix you can choose to have Tivo add the Netflix movie to your Tivo "now playing" list, but it doesn't actually download the movie. It's basically just a shortcut.
