Re: Amazon Has Raised Its Minimum Order Price

I have had Prime for years and have been extremely happy.  One other thing--when I do a return (which is RARE), they credit your card immediately as long as it ships back within 30 days--WHO ELSE DOES THAT!!!

Re: Amazon Has Raised Its Minimum Order Price

I don't order enough from Amazon to justify payng for Prime.  Lots of things I order are little and have free shipping (watch batteries, earring findings, watches, earplugs, to name a few).

If I really, really want an item I will pay the S&H (usually about $5).  I might pay for 6 orders a year which comes out to much less than Prime.   Lately I notice that orders I place with paid shipping come very quickly, about as quick as Prime would be.

Re: Amazon Has Raised Its Minimum Order Price

I wonder how many of the new Prime memberships that were subscribed to in December were kept and how many canceled after the 30 days?

I subscribed for the free 30 day membership sometime in December but canceled.

I'm sure Amazon is used to that.

I wonder if there is a mechanism in place to keep people from doing that yearly. I seem to recall that you can only have ONE "free trial" - maybe that's it.

I've signed up for a free trial membership twice.  Once last year and once this year.  I really did think about keeping it but in looking back at my orders, I realized it wouldn't be worth it.  And I don't care about the live streaming.

If you frequent amazon, prime is so worth it. Free 2 day shipping, 3.99 one day shipping and 5.99 for same day delivery on items that are eligible. I know the price of prime has gone up, luckily i got it a couple years ago when they had a promotion for students, 49 for prime. So I've been able to lock in that price. And amazon just has everything you can think of for great prices, plus, i can second what Kim said...the thing about returns is so great!

Been a very satisfied Amazon member since 2005, and a Prime member since 2010.

For those that are homebound Prime memebership is fantastic, and even can sometimes literally be a lifesaver for them and/or their pets.

The enormous variety of health and pet items alone  is worth being an Amazon customer.  8)

Re: Amazon Has Raised Its Minimum Order Price

If I want something, I just get it. I will pay shipping. Most of the time I need at least $50 worth of goods anyway so I get the free shipping.

I will not pay Amazon in advance for Prime for my shipping discount. They have so many rules and regulations that half the time you do not even qualify for the free shipping with Prime.

Very pleased with my Prime membership.  The music is quite good, people ask me all the time what 'station' I'm listening to while working.  I would also recommend the streaming section, the Bosch series definitely worth a peek.

I think Prime is worth the price.
