I have gotten many calls from a Dr.s office looking to confirm an appt with a man. They leave the whole message with date/time, etc. After many months I called them back and told them they had the wrong number.

I'm curious, as to what kind of scam you think this could be?

It sounds like a misdial.  As long as the call back number seems legitimate, I'd block my number, and call back.  If they don't accept blocked calls, hey, you tried.

If you reach a voice mail, I'd leave the briefest of messages. Don't give your name, or the number they called you at, just, that it was a wrong number.  Do the same, if you reach a live person..

Of course, you're not obligated to call them back.  I just don't see this as a scam.

I have called back a doctor's office when they called me in error looking for a patient of theirs.  That's important.  The rest?  I MMOB because of too many scams.
