@Ms X wrote:Would you agree that something's wrong with the system when a person is granted a visa after using an address that doesn't exist? Keep in mind she was from an area of the Middle East where terrorists operate. If they can't or won't even check that, they need to change their procedures.
She came from Saudi Arabia. They are supposedly our allies and great friends.

Another issue that hasn't existed in the past is the fact that jihadists have declared war on us and vow to kill us daily. They live in countries that often don't have good or even any records as to who is who, so actual vetting cannot be done.

I take it that you're being sarcastic about the Saudis, terrier. Many of the 911 hijackers were from there. Of course, few Americans really consider them friends, although our government must be careful for various reasons.

So that should be automatic denial for entrance into our country. The goverment for the most part knows who I am, how much money I have, who I text etc......but profiling unidentified people is now taboo? Ridiculous.

I was being sarcastic...yet the same Saudi leader who supported the doomsday cult sect of the Muslim religion also was the same prince who a US leader kissed on the cheeks and walked hand in hand with at his ranch...and was one of his dad's best friends and business partners (Carlyle Group).
Oil money trumps US security.

Notice how their citizens don't seem to be at risk, curious isn't it?

As I'm sure you know, SydneyH, Saudi Arabia will not take a single refugee. Some have suggested that we create a safe place over there for those truly fleeing the war zone. Many of those fleeing persecution are Christians. That solves the problem better.

Huh? The Saudi princes are despots. They practice Sharia law and think nothing of having beheadings and stonings for public spectacles.
The princes imprison everyone who disagrees with them in horrible tortuous conditions.
Their people live under a reign of terror.
And we have supported them, sold them billions in weapons and planes, anything they wanted - to keep their oil heading our way and into our companies.

Well, Terrier, wouldn't it be great if that was the only leader to play nice with the Saudis? We are dependent on their oil and have paid a price for that.

Many fleeing are also Shiite - the Saudi's enemy.
