To the OP: I knew exactly what you were talking about when you mentioned the Alfred P. Murrah building. And I live in CA. But I watched with horror while the whole thing happened.

I also remember the little girl being carried by the firefighter. So very, very sad.

Meaningless detail?  I would say that domestic terrorism is not meaningless.  Tell that to the families that lost a loved one from the bombing and all the childrens parents.

Some of these posts are very sad indeed.

People! who knew? Of course I remember Timothy McVeigh & the Oklahoma bombing. Chill people! Don't be so quick to spring on others.

The post lacked detail. Enjoy your shutin!

You saw that the post mentioned that people died. You jumped on as the first response and announced it was meaningless to most.

Of course that would be really hurtful to those who had an emotional connection to the event. Even if you didn't recognize what she was talking about. So of course people are not going to chill.

And "enjoy your shutin?" If you are working, bless you. But no need to snark on those who are fortunate to be able to mostly stay out of harms way.

If you "posters" are so sharp why don't you go on Jeopardy?  Unless you live in Oklahoma who would remember 4/19 and the Alfred  P. Murrah building off the top of their head?

Wow.... I remembered and knew exactly what the OP was talking about and I lived in So Calif at the time.  I was also in my 40's but it was so horrific that I've remembered it ever since.

It might have been better if @Anonymous032819  had mentioned the Oklahoma Bombing along with the Murrah Building for others to recall the tragic event.

Oklahoma Bombing is an essential part of the story.

It is difficult for others not to recognize buildings in other areas of the country if they are not familiar with the state or city but a referencing to an event with the naming of a state and city associated with a building would be easier to recall.

May we take a moment tomorrow and remember those innocent lives that were lost.

I remember when that happened...I had just arrived in Fl to visit my parents that day...so long ago and sad.

@Anonymous032819   Thank you for posting this.

It was such a horrible, heartbreaking time.  I will never forget the images that we saw.

I am not sure how anyone would not know what you were speaking of in your post.

I also knew exactly what she was referring to, even though I hadn't heard any recent mention of it.  I still vividly remember that day and what I was doing when I heard about it.
