Re: Positive thread

[ Edited ]

@Linmo "Many people may not have responded to this thread because they read it as an in-sincere gesture to mock H & M and those who support them."

Maybe they didn't respond because they couldn't argue with the so called "haters" since people were saying nice things about H and M.  Some people see something negative in everything.  People cannot win with H and M.  If you say something nice you are insincere and mocking people.  If you say something negative you are a "hater", jealous and a racist.  You are darned if you do and darned if you don't.

@beach-mom While it's never a good thing when a dog gets left behind, sometimes there are legitimate reasons for re-homing. I don't pretend to know all the ins and outs and comings and goings of the family.

I'm just trying to keep and open mind and remain PAWSITIVE in this thread and also in general.  There are so many negatives things happening in our world.

I commend you for starting this thread. @lgfan  I can’t think of one positive thing to contribute. I think we need to be able to post no matter what side we fall on. I give the Mods credit they let that last thread go on for quite some time before deleting. I wish they would have just continued to delete the questionable threads.

Going forward lets not respond when the bullies start posting. Just post around them, so we can keep the threads up. Harry and Meghan are a hot topic (their own doing) so I hope we can start another discussion.

Manny2 I have put several posters on my personal ignore list because of rude responses. Did you notice that the posters who are so quick to call people "haters" did not respond to this post. This just proves to me that some people just like to argue. I no longer take the bait when some responses are obviously meant to start an argument.

@lgfan & @manny2  What I find interesting is the angry poster who constantly complains about the H&M threads and wants them shut down only seems to appear and post when one of these threads she dislikes gets started.

@MrsSB - I'm so sorry I'm just seeing this now! You are right. There are many reasons we don't know. I guess it's just throughout the years I've seen so many pets left for some reason when their owners make a change. Sometimes it's necessary; sometimes it's not. IMO this is one time it wasn't noticeably necessary.

But at least he got to stay with her friends. When they moved into their new home, reporters asked Meghan if Bogart would rejoin the family. She said no, because "he doesn't like Harry." Understandable I guess.

I hope Bogart is enjoying life with his new family. It had to be hard for him to adjust to life without his "mom" and his canine "brother" Guy!

KKJ I know who you are talking about. This particular poster does not discuss the topic of the thread but instead criticizes the other posters who do not agree with the H and M lovefest.

They come in with boxing gloves on. @KKJ  You can’t have a discussion that way. We should be able to discuss any point of view without name calling and insults.

One of those posters on another thread once posted that her mother just went on and on and she had to listen to her. Bingo, I got her number. She was never validated, so when she comes here, she attacks anyone that has a different point of view. She goes back to not feeling valid, so she starts the boxing match.

I agree with you Manny2.  I am convinced that these boards are therapy for some people.  Take out your hostilities with strangers you have not met.  It is cheaper than seeing a therapist and less dangerous than confronting a person face to face.
