I agree with you basgainsgirl but some people equate a different opinion as "hate".  That is why I decided on a positive thread.  I notice, though, that the posters who are most vocal about "haters" have yet to mention anything positive about this lovely couple.  It is very telling.

Exactly, @lgfan, and we should be allowed to express those opinions without being called haters and bullies. The

irony is the only bullying I've seen is from a few of the H&M fans who get so angry at those who aren't singing their praises. Why such anger on a msg board if you don't agree?

@bargainsgirl , There have been many threads with negative opinions, but I guess some just can't help themselves.

My only comment would be why was this thread started in the Book Club forum. :-)

@icezeus  I wondered that myself.  No real discussion of his book.  It  comes out tomorrow.

I mostly only have postive things to say about Harry and Meghan.

I do sometimes have sad thoughts of them due to the rift with William. I blame the British press and it makes me angry.

But for this post, I'm keeping it PAWSITIVE for their adopted dogs, Guy, Pula, and Mama Mia. I will always root for the dog lovers!

But she didn't take her first dog Bogart.  She left him behind, and away from his canine brother. One of the things that started my questioning about what kind of person she was. And this was before they were married!  From the Leicestershire news:

"So when it was revealed that her dog Bogart was not invited to join her and Harry at their new home, Kensington Palace, people were quick to ask “why can’t Meghan Markle’s dog Bogart come live with them?” While we may never know the real reason why Meghan Markle’s dog Bogart is not living with her at Kensington Palace, there are a few possible explanations. One possibility is that the palace simply doesn’t allow dogs. Another possibility is that Bogart is too old and not well-suited to life in the palace. And finally, it’s possible that Meghan Markle made the decision to leave Bogart behind in order to protect him from the intense media attention that comes with being a royal. Whatever the reason, it’s clear that Meghan Markle’s dog Bogart is not part of her life at Kensington Palace. And while we may never know the real reason why, we can all agree that it’s a shame that Bogart can’t be by Meghan’s side as she starts her new life as a royal."

The book was released in Spain a few days ago. Harry has done several interviews where he has pretty much talked about everything in his book....so it may cause some people not to buy the book imho. I was taught not to air your dirty laundry in public, as the saying goes. I am sure the Queen would have been very upset to see these accusations leveled against the royals, especially when he has effectively cut off communications with them so they can't even dispute or defend themselves against accusations. I hope William and Catherine hold their heads high and carry on....years from now, Harry will look back, hopefully, and regret what he has done to his family.

@lgfan

I so appreciate how the Royals, carry themselves, esp since many times,  they were born into a "patterned life" they often had "no say" about.

I mean, they are virtually "owned by the State," at a minimum.

I was born free, unlike, born into this "patterned life." And unlike "owned by the State."

Re: Positive thread

[ Edited ]

Many people may not have responded to this thread because they read it as an in-sincere gesture to mock H & M and those who support them.
