a hack for the Calista TSV today?

I'm sorry---but I don't want to spend almost $95 on this hair thing. that includes the taxes and shipping- for me--Is there such an item elsewhere that does the same thing? I will research it but wanted to know first hand from someone who uses a similar item. don't need the hairspray either and waiting for the eternal boat from china to ship it,  is not acceptable either. Just asking!

I haven't seen a full presentation but check out the Revlon One Step styler.  It looks like it might be the same.  There is also one by Dry Bar but I think it's more expensive than the one by Calista.

The problem with the Revlon styler is that it only comes in one size and it is huge.  It is way too big for my hair.

I have a drying brush by John Frieda that I paid $35.00 (I think) but it's not really like this.  It's all the tufted bristles, none of the plastic ones, so it's the same all the way around.  That one only comes in one size too but it's smaller so it works for my hair.

This is not a dryer so it is different. But I have lots of Friends who love the Revlon One step.

I use the Revlon dryer brush and like it because it a one step process.  Yes it is huge and IMO to big for very short hair. I am not impressed with Calista products and have sent two back, also, again my opinion, the host's hair looked awful as did the vendors.I'm past the bouffant style on the mature model.  Easy pass for me.

Another vote for the Revlon Volumizing Hair Dryer!  This is an awesome product.  I have been using mine for about three or four years ago and it's still going strong.  Because I had many Calista products go bad on me suddenly without any warning, I was worried the same thing would happen to my Revlon product, too, but it's been very reliable.  I did buy another one about a year ago when it was on a super sale at Ulta, but I haven't had to open it yet.  It's an awesome styling tool!

I have a brush roller tool with changeable barrels (2 sizes) I got on Amazon some time ago for $15.  Mine has heat and a fan that dries hair.  It's much nicer than the Calista.

I had one that stopped working on one of the features even though it was out of warranty it was replaced,  the company that makes those is Helen of troy same company that makes the Hot Tools curling irons.

there are a ton of dupes for that one on Amz as well

@Kachina624 , what brand is that?  I have the Hot Tools volumizing brush/dryer which is like the Revlon one.  Really nice but too big since I"ve gotten my hair cut so much shorter.
