I blot my lips too - usually by kissing a piece of paper that would normally just go right in the trash.

When my kids were little I remember them asking me who all those kisses were for... So cute.

My mother always applied her lipstick in the manner of the models. I thought it was a habit peculiar to her generation. She always blotted, too.

I, on the other hand, apply lipstick to all lip surfaces and that's that!

I think they do is just to demonstrate that the gloss is not sticky, or that the lipstick theyve applied isn't dry and feathery.

That is so hilarious, you read my mind Hyacinth. I have thought that very thing so many times. Sometimes I wished the models would stop with the lip smoothing long enough for me to see the product! Haha! I do appreciate model Joy though, I haven't seen her do it.
