Hello friends! After watching the super bowl....phew... and looking at Taylor's red lip made me wonder...if you wear a red lip what's your favorite? Do you have more than one? I'm always on the hunt! Thanks!

@Franklinbell Great qustion, my friend! My favorite red lipstick is Bare Minerals Statement Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade "Juicy"- it's a pinky red fruit punch lip color and looks great with my ivory skin tone, blue green eyes and brown hair. I like this because it's flirty and not too red and its on clearance on Bare Minerals website for $14. I bought two tubes of it and I'll use them sparingly since this color is being discontinued. Do you have a favorite red lipstick? ![]()

The perfect red that I found is by Ready Wear on shophq. Made in Italy, this brand has the best, smoothest, creamiest lipstick ever.

@Franklinbell My favorite red is, of course, a Mac Lipglass that was Limited Edition.
It was in the Stranger Things collection.
Rockin Robin.
When I want a subtle red I wear Mac See Sheer Lipstick.

@Franklinbell My best suggestion is to determine your skintone first. Tay Tay seems to be cool undertones and may gravitate to a blue tone red while warm skins tend to look better in a red with an orange base.
I like to persoanlly tone it down and use a reddish pink lip lip liner all over to prevent bleeding and a sheer red gloss.
MAC Ruby Woo is a universally flattering red that I keep in my drawer and in my kit.

@Franklinbell I replied before reading your post. Great minds think alike.

Is red lipstick having a moment? I know at least three of the beauty influencers I watch on YouTube have all said they are going to make an effort to wear more red lipstick this year. I don't own any red lipsticks. Heck I don't own any lipsticks at all. All my glosses are in shades of pink, peachy pink and gold with pink reflects.
@monicakm You can thank Taylor Swift for the red lip taking over!!! She's everywhere on every magazine cover, etc. Please let it be over....

I am not a fan of the red lip on Taylor. I love it on Gwen Stefani. She has the coloring to pull it off. I think it ages Taylor.
What do you think @Shanus you are the pro here.

@manny2 Here goes...no boos, please: I think it's OK in theatrical settings, on celebrities, etc. Once we reach a "certain age", our lip lines are more visible, darker or very bright shades seem to emphasize the loss of volume in our lips. I really don't like to see any one part of the face taking over...Balance is my thing: a defined brow, neutral blush and a lip color close to the shade of your *******les...your perfect nude lip color...that's what Bobbi taught us.
