I'm NOT a fan of nude lips on me.  I LOVE red.... but it has to be the right red,  and I prefer a SHEER red.  I think RMS has some beautiful ones.  Also,  if I like a red lipstick but the color applies too intensely,  I'll just DOT the color on my lips and spread it out with a lip balm.

I absolutely LOVE the RMS Crimson Lane balm. That one is more sheer.  Her Lip2Cheek in BELOVED is magnificent.  I pat that on my lips.   She also has some gorgeous red lipsticks that are too intense for me ....  that's when I just dot them on and get out the clear lip balm to sheer out the color.   I usually apply a lipliner first most of the time....  but not always!

You can also take a red lipliner that you like and bring some of the color into the center of your lips and then spread that out with a balm.  That has a lot of staying power because you are working with a liner as your base.

Have fun.  Wear what you like that makes YOU feel good.   Always take an honest look in the mirror as well !!!

I've never been able to wear red lipstick. I think it's having a moment because Taylor is having a moment.

Red lipstick is fun.

Makeup is used for a lot of reasons, but one is just for fun.

Red lipstick, to me, is best used when you want to say that you are confident & feeling sassy.

I like to see anyone. Any age feeling confident & sassy.

I love red lipstick. I think the trick to wearing it when we're older is to make sure it's moisturizing and glossy looking. Not dry or matte.

I love Pat McGrath Labs red lipstick called Vendetta. It’s the perfect blue red and perfect formula.
I love my family, my fur boys, my Jayhawks and accounting!

Taylor looks beautiful with a red lip. Red is a classic, glamorous choice for lipstick.

I like Lipstick Queen in Eden. It is not sheer but it is what I would call a light red, it does not scream red, which is why I like it.

@nyc1  I also prefer a sheer red. With red, I do use a lip pencil to line first. I need a warm red, not a blue red.
