Neutrogena makes a facial SPF 35 moisturizer that has a better consistency than most. The price isn't bad, either. I apply it under - or sometimes blend it with my IT foundation.

I am allrergic to sunscreen on my face so I can only use the zinc ones - which, of course can't be used every day as they are very white and thick. Yesterday DH & I went to a tent sale and were outside a lot so I did wear LG spackle with sunscreen for that event but as soon as I got home I washed it off. Didn't help - my eyes were swollen and painful all evening and still this morning. I am going to a funeral at the graveside on wednesday and here in Florida it will be sunny so I will have to wear the same again and put up with the swollen and sore eyes another day.

No reason to pay for expensive skincare, then not use the one thing that really prevents aging. No skin care product stops the wrinkles & sag but SPF does help prevent it. Like PC SPFs and love Josie's tinted moisturizer SPF 47. Also like Cliniques city block, its a SPF that also acts like a primer. Also, mix in my spf with my moisturizer or serums, it goes on less chalky.
In addition to the JM tinted SPF 47 and the City Block I like Hourglass Mineral Veil SPF 15.

I've never been a fan of sunscreens either but after my father-in-law died of melanoma I decided I would make myself apply sunscreen daily. I always seemed to break out from them on my face. I told my dermatologist this and she gave me a sample of Elta MD tinted sunscreen. I LOVE it and just bought my second tube. It is a physical sunscreen and has a very light tint. There is no white cast at all. Hope you find a sunscreen you like because it is so important!

Thank you ladies. I have dryish skin with spots from sun damage. I currently go back & forth with the JM and I have added a drop of argan just to thin it out sometimes and Cerave facial moisturizer with SPF. I have thought of trying Dr Denese but haven't. I use IT CC cream so if I wear make up I'm fine but I don't want to put on makeup every day. I will look into the Elta and the Clinique and some of the others mentioned. I can't believe there isn't a great sheer sunscreen out there since you need it everyday. Maybe I should look into getting light weight tinted primer.

My derm sells MDSolarSciences. It is pricey but so is skin cancer!!! I can wear it under my spackle and Balance & Brighten.

@susan kay, JM SPF 47 Untiinted has worked great for me or over a year now. It doesn't leave a chalky appearance and keeps my face moisturized.

I currently use the Josie Maran SPF 47 untinted, and it works for me. It doesn't make my face itch, and it doesn't smell like Coppertone. A few years back, I used Philosophy's When Hope is Not Enough moisturizer with sunscreen. It had a very slight lavender scent (if I remember correctly), and I absolutely loved it. Then it was discontinued. Rats! I know it's hard to find a facial SPF moisturizer that doesn't feel like a pasty mess, but for now, the JM works. If Philosophy were ever to resurrect the Hope moisturizer, I'd jump at the chance to go back to it.
