@GenXmuse Skin needs vary from week to week, day to day and with the seasons. I have changed my Retin A and Vit. C to only 3-4 times a week in winter. It'stoo harsh on my skin. I will go back to every night when the weather warms up a little.
Vit. C does optimimize the effects of SPF by neutralizing free radicals. On warmer days (today will be 60, I'll apply it under my sunscreen because I'll be outside several hours and walking Molly. I take care of the dryness by using a heavier moisturizer and seal it in with oil.

@NYCLatinaMe Retin A is a proven anti-aging (hate that phrase) step in a skincare routine. My derm writes a RX and although it isn't covered by insurance, I suck it up and pay about $120. The tube lasts about 4 months.
I cannot use others w/o a perscription since I'm using the .1%. Ove the counter ones are .5% or don'tlist the exact percentage or ithey're combined with other skincare which, to me, is not as effective. My derm has no issue with writing it.
***There are Cosmetic Dermatologists who are wonderful at analyzing skin's needs. They specialize in lasers, injections, etc., but can also just perscribe Retin A.

Would your regular Dr not write a prescription for it?
If you are happy with your complexion, your routine isn't bad.
My NP sent my new prescription to my local Walgreens last week. No dermatologist appointment required. My out of pocket cost was $10.

Yes. I am able to get my preferred strength and delivery locally now. Years ago, my derm prescription was expensive and not covered by insurance because there was an age cutoff. The best I could do was a GoodRx coupon.. I was on a phone call with my NP last week and, just for snicks, I asked her if she was allowed to prescribe the Tret. She could so I asked her if she would, but that I wouldn't fill it if it was going to cost an arm and a leg. A little while later I got a call from Walgreens saying my prescription was ready for pick up and my OOP would be $10. The NP also allowed for 5 refills. Obviously something changed with the insurance plan. I'm happy.

That's great. So did you ever get anything from ADC? What about the Careprost?

@SilleeMee Thank you for posting the chart!!
@monicakm Thank you for starting the topic.
I am trying to get better at making sure my products work together and not against each other. After reviewing this info, I think I might be returning some Signature Club A products I bought yesterday. The Vitamin C caps & the neck tighter.... They sound like great products but maybe not with my other faves. Ooof..

I did get some Tret and Careprost from ADC. The Careprost wasn't working fast enough for me so I quit and converted to the Vie Beauty Lash Serum on Amazon. Talk about a game changer! It's really made a big difference.

Yes, Careprost takes at least 3 months to see the beginning of lash improvements. In 4 months the full effect is usually seen.
I'm thinking about stopping the use of my Careprost. Long-term side effects are not exactly what I want.

@monicakm - I use Timeless Vit C in the morning and Naturium Retinol at night and have no problems.
