AGREED!! they took an ICON of a product and destoryed its authenticity. my last purchase was before Christmas. there are other classic fragrances out there that are just as good if not better..... so sad.

I totally agree with you. I left a long time ago. It got expensive trying "one more time" hoping that I just got a bad bottle. Sad that they messed up a good thing. If it's not broke, don't try and fix it.

I thought I might also be done with Purity and MDW, but I've been using drugstore alternatives for a few months now, and at this time, I'm thinking I may go back to them. Nothing I've tried works anywhere near as well for me.

Philosophy definitely won't miss the money I spend on scents - I use almost none as more and more places in my life there are those requesting no perfumes. I gave up all scents when I was in the classroom once more and more kids became irritated by them, and now I'm finding in my personal life that I go too many places where perfumes are not welcome.

I've recently come back to both purity and mdw. I switched to other (actually more expensive) brands of skin care when philosophy discontinued most of their products I was using, so I switched cleansers too. I tried the others for about a year and was finding that although their textures were nice, I just didn't seem to be getting clean enough; or if I was getting clean, my face would feel tight and dry, then I'd need some sort of treatment in addition to a moisturizer. Also, I was trying to exfoliate only with chemical exfoliants, rather than physical like mdw, which did not work at all for me.

So I started back with purity and mdw. So far they're working better with less irritation than the other brands. I do still have to use some other brand for other skin care products.

I don't know what the common denominator is in all of their beauty products for the face, neck, etc. but I can't wear them at all.

Every time I have tried a product I break out in horrible acne-type bumps, even on my neck and decollete.

Goodbye from me as well Philosophy. I don't need your products. I use many other finer ones that cause me no problems at all.

Me personally I still love Philosophy. I only use Falling in Love and my boyfriend is always telling me how much he loves my perfume (even though I don;t always wear it). Sometimes I'll just use the olive oil scrub or the spritz, and I have found that it's just perfect.

My problem though is that there is a very noticeable difference between the regular Falling in Love and the Falling in Love Summer. I REALLY dislike the Falling in Love Summer and I gave the one I had mistakenly bought to a friend.

I tried the Grace fragrances when there were only three of them out and every single one of them gave me a terrible headache I get from some perfumes with musk in them. I've never been a Grace fragrance user.

So I LOVE Philosophy. Their skincare line is very good and their bath products have been my favorites for over 10 years. Lemon Custard, Fresh Cream, Hot Toddy, Cabana Girl, and Cinnamon Buns are wonderful. I also love the limited edition scents I've bought over the years.

I will only ---only buy the shower gels anymore (unless I happen to get some value deal where a spritz or something is in the product). The shower gels remain superior in lather to anything on the market. But you are correct that the fragrances have absolutely no fragrance anymore. Since the company was sold it does not compare to the original owner.

totally with you on this,,,I too got the last 4 piece TSV and didn't open it right away as I still had product left....one by one I started using it and the first thing I noticed was...it didn't smell like it once did...then I realized people used to ALWAYS tell me I smelled good or asked me what I wore but that hasn't happened in a while...Its too pricey to get inferior product...I have worn this product in all forms for over 15 years.....sad but time to move on

I have found that I am now in love with Amazing Grace and must have this every day at least to sleep by. I know, wierd, but true. Somehow this is comforting to my brain and off to sleep I go. I need every help I can get to sleep.Woman Wink insomnia just rules the night with me!

My bottle has scent and is just fine, it's an EDT...

I wonder if the recipe gets messed up at the factory sometimes. For example,  I have Summer Grace too and it smells very strong and good and there are lots who said that they cannot smell this at all.  Maybe their quality control at the factory needs a little analyzing.  Who knows. Smiley Happy

I have loved Philosophy for many years but I will no longer spend money on fragrance that has no staying power! I will find something else light and clean but goes the distance through the day or at least half way through the day. I have to douse myself with fragrance in order to have it last for any length of time and if somebody lights a match I would go up in flames.Smiley Mad
