Hi,Mar5775. This treatment is performed by my doctor. Initially I had to go monthly for 3-4 months for treatments. Now only about twice a year. The IPL "melts" the clogged meibomian glands, then he squeezes all the "toothpaste-like gunk" out. Afterward I just use systane, freshkote, or now retain eye drops. He has also traveled to several other locations to train other doctors in this treatment, and almost every time I go in he has a doctor with him learning the technique.
