I have dry eyes and I have to apply drops frquently, so that can mess up my eye make up.  Does anyone know of good waterproof concealer, mascara and eye shadow.  I have tried using Tarte and Lancome concealers.  i also am now using Armani and Lancome waterproof mascaras.  Any suggestions?  Also, does anyone know of a waterproof eye primer?

Dermablend is the best concealer on the market.   It was developed for medical use to hide scars and serious blemishes.

No, I don't.  I hope you get some good suggestions.  I am experiencing this myself.  I just recently went to the eye dr. and was told my oil glands are plugged up.  I have to get a prescription for some type of greasy gel to use at night and then use warm compresses as well.  I have Blepharitis - maybe this is something you might want to look into.  I am hoping that after I do all of this that it will help.  I have been using drops constantly myself and it has been doing no good.  The dr. said that the drops are usesless considering my glands are blocked at the present.  Good luck!!!

I'm just the opposite.  My eyes weep all the time - I have tears running down my cheeks and I'm constantly having to dab my eyes.  Soo --- eye makeup is out of the question.  Drops, clearing tearducks, pills - nothing seems to help.  Seeing yet another doctor for his suggestion.  Surgery, perhaps???  Don't look forward to that possibility!!!

@gonnab

Maybe you have allergies or are allergic to something?

I know how you feel.  My eyes have been a mess and are very uncomfortble.  I had just purchased a bunch of new stuff to start fresh for the new year - eye cream, concealer, shadows, liners, mascara, etc.  Now, I cant't use any of them until this clears up.

@QVCPhobe what eye drops are you using?  My dry eye is really bad.  Been to a couple different docs with the same diagnosis.  My eyes are always red and burn all day.  I am using Systane Ultra but it really doesnt help much. The drops really dont mess up my make up too much tho!

Anyone undergoing the trials of dry eye has all my sympathy.  I can recommend using a mascara topcoat (Clarins makes one, so does Anastasia) to at least keep mascara from running.  Not sure about a waterproof primer; I'll see if I can find one.

However, to treat the problem at its source - please consider asking your eye care practitioner about punctal plugs.  They won't work for everyone, but if your problem is that your natural tears aren't staying in your eyes, these can help.   I had them inserted two years ago and it's been a real game changer for me.  Well, that, and the fact that now special contacts just for dry eye are now available.

I thought I'd have to give up contacts and just go to glasses.  These new lenses are incredible - never knew I  could see so well or be so comfortable.

I had a severe case of dry eye and someone here recommended taking seabuckthorn oil. It saved me.

OK, have located a waterproof eye shadow primer - it's called Proof It, by NYX, and it's available at Ulta (and probably other places too.)

I always use eye drops before putting on my makeup, but this time of year once a day isn't nearly enough ..... it's the drying air caused by having the furnace on.   I now have a couple small humidifiers that help a lot ..... and helps with dry skin, too.
