Taylor Wynn has a Foundation Friday video up right now.  It's CT's new foundation.  Watching it and then I have to get ready for tomorrow and go to bed.  Good night.

I just watched the Taylor Wynn video for the CT foundation.  Gosh that girl is a speed talker!  She was saying that if your skin is oily, you may not like it as much for those curious about it.

Re: Crayons and Eyeshadows

[ Edited ]

Eye shadow colors are so pretty! Every time @monicakm shows us a new palette, my wheels are turning, but not for makeup.

I like a more monochromatic look for me; I think it looks more youthful. But those colors would serve great on art paper! That's what I'm saving all my BE shadows for.

@JudyL I'm right there with you!  I am really not a creative person except in my makeup.  I have always loved makeup but most of my friends don't care so much about it.  They basically wear the same stuff every day.

Even though I have worked from home every day since March 2020, I have put a full face of makeup on every day unless I've been sick.  I actually look forward to sitting down and wondering what makeup I'm going to wear each day.  I especially love to try different eye looks.  Now that I don't have to go to an office every day I really enjoy that I get to experiment. It doesn't always turn out great, but I don't care because it washes off.

I am very much a logical, left brained person in all of my life/career except for makeup.  Your crayon analogy is spot on.  I'm as excited with my eye palettes as I used to be with those big boxes of crayons!

@lkat  You are my makeup soul sister! I love playing with my makeup and putting on a new face every day, even if I'm home.

I'm probably the strange one. I only have three eyshadow palettes and one single shadow stick. I'm way behind everyone else. There are some other quads I like, so maybe I'll end up buying more next month.

@lkat - I love your post!  As I was reading it, I thought, she gets it!  Thank you.  When I posted, I wasn't sure if people were going to think I was weird.  Then I thought, if they do, oh well!  HAHA

@beach-mom - love your post also!  Isn't makeup fun?  That is what it is supposed to be.  I remember seeing those LG palettes.  They seemed like a good deal.

Count me in ladies.  I agree, many of us have an overwhelming love of eyeshadow.  I've felt like that since my twenties. Just looking at them gives me a high, even the bold primary colors that I'd never wear.  I have a friend since HS who's a makeup artist and she recently said to me- too late, you should have rocked that look decades ago, lol.

When I go to Ulta, e/s is the first thing I have to check out.  I wish someone could invent entirely new colors just so we'd have more to select from.

@JudyL  It's nice that your sister is wearing a little makeup now.  I bet it makes her feel great.

@monicakm  Glad you didn't get the 2 tier cart in a baby pink or mint, a color your DH wouldn't use.  The three tier one sounds perfect.

@decaf - YES!  I have loved eyeshadows and palettes since I can remember.  When I was much younger, I used to want to be a makeup artist but didn't know how to go about it.  Love looking at palettes too even if they aren't colors I would wear.  I just love color.

@teganslaw - you are fine just the way you are with the palettes you have.  If you like them, enjoy them, use them, then thats all that matters.

Yes, a lot of these younger YT girls are speed talkers lol  If  you think TW is fast, you won't want to (try) to listen to Kelly Strack.  I'd have to say that Julia Adams MUA is becoming one of my favorites.  She is so genuine, soft spoken, shy and talks at a pace my 62 year old ears can keep up with.

I think I found a YTer I watched over a year ago and couldn't find her again.  I'm not 100% positive this is her tho.  I don't typically watch older women's YT makeup channels but I do enjoy this one.  Maybe some of you have seen her before...Tammy's Ageless Beauty.

I wish I did.  I'll have something on but don't put on a "full face" to stay home.
