Re: Clarisonic issues and warning

I am wondering if any of you have a store called Batteries Plus. They say they carry batteries for everything. Maybe that includes batteries for the Clarisonic too? I live in WA state.

@wagirl
I do not think there is a way to open it up to replace the batteries?

The first Clarisonic Plus I purchased barely lasted 2 years. Came on but the head would not "spin" and nothing would correct the problem. Too much money for something to last so little time. I have another Plus and one Mia but I doubt I will ever purchase another due to much cheaper similar ones being offered. Was frustrating to have spent so much and not get a long life out of it.

Mine stopped "spinning" after a few months.  I sent it to Clarisonic - for free - and they checked it out/returned it.  All they said was that it worked fine for them. That's great, beause it still didn't "spin" when I got it back.  Sticking with the Foreo dupe from Amazon going forward.

@Jen44 That is good to know. Mine is about two years old and just the other day it wouldn't spin. I tried changing the speed, turning it on and off, etc. and suddenly it started spinning but I wonder if it's about to die on me. I e-mailed the Clarisonic customer service but I'm sure they'll just give me a bunch of excuses and say that it's something I did to it.

Re: Clarisonic issues and warning

I have had lots of luck with mine, I use twice a day, and I have had no problems.  I purchased in the summer of 2013.  I replace my brush heads every 3 months or so.  I don't use it on my makeup.  I remove makeup with cleansing cloth, Love Skinn cosmetics the best IMO,  or I use Purity to remove my makeup, then wash with my gel cleanser on a non-make up face.  I think it is gross when they show the brush with all the makeup on it, yuck, you wouldn't wash with a washrag that had makeup on it would you?  I hope my Mia 2 keeps on lasting, I find I have to charge about every 2 weeks, and I hope this doesn't jink it.  This is one of my desert Island items for sure.  Face just doesn't feel clean with out using it.

Thanks for posting regarding the batteries.

Re: Clarisonic issues and warning

I have three two Clarisonics and one Mia for traveling.  My Clarisonic and Mia are pretty old at this point I purchased it years ago on QVC when it was a tsv and so far I haven't experience any problems I don't charge my Mia until I travel and I charge my Clarisonic probably every week and a half because I use it everyday.  My husband has a newer Clarisonic which most of the time he forgets to use and he charges it less frequently.  I too do not feel like my skin is clean unless I use it.

I inherited two Clarisonics from my mom.  They are basically unused, as she got sick and was not able to use them.  They both charged up just fine.  The Pro would not turn on.  The Plus turned on, but when I went to use it again a week later, would not turn on.  Of course, they are out of warranty.  Clarisonic advised that these machines have batteries that should be charged at least every month or two.  I'm writing to warn others that if they aren't using their machines to at least keep them charged.  I'd also like to know if others have faced this issue or know any hacks to fix this.  I know there are YouTube videos about opening them and replacing batteries, but I'm not very good at that sort of thing. Please let me know your thoughts and/or ideas.  Thanks!

PS  Has anyone had a good experience with any of the knock off products?

I am facing this issue now, pun intended. QVC and Clarisonic have some amends to make, because this is some shady stuff. Coming up on this episode of AMerican Greed.....  I use the mia fit once a day, and after 5-6 months it isn't holding a charge for more than a few days, and it was over 160 bucks. I'm not shutting up and coloring, letting go, forvgiving, no Zen, no Yoda, on this this one. This is war. They underestimate the power of the force (of lawyers).

Re: Clarisonic issues and warning

After praising and presenting Clarisonic for so many years, now today QVC has "the Leaf" on.  I always said I would never buy a Clarisonic because I knew I would never consistently use it, but I caved and bought the Mia Fit from QVC before Christmas.   Had I known, I would have waited for today's TSV of The Leaf because it is less costly.

I have a Mia that is almost 5 years old and going strong.  I hope I don't jinx it!  I do charge it weekly overnight.

Re: Clarisonic issues and warning

I purchased the MIa fit when it was a TSV not that long ago from QVC....last yr sometime.  Mine just recently started to not hold a charge longer then a few days.  I use it everyday in the evening....for the expense of this item I am dissappointed that I can't even get the 1wks charge use out of it.  With that said I love how it works on my skin....I use the deep pour cleaning brush heads....I hope it doesn't stop holding any charge.

For the cost of this item it really should last for yrs easily with once a day use IMO.
