Ok. Well, then don't purchase their products.

I don't post often, but why on earth don't those of you that are no animal testing simply make people aware of the fact and then let others make the choice after making the information known? It seems to create a lot animosity on the boards, and in the end everyone will make their own choices, which is what should happen.
I don't understand it. I do my research, but in the end the decision is mine, and I must live with the decision.

And why can't we discuss it, especially since this particular post specifically is regarding animal testing?
There are alot of things that create animosity on this board (which I honestly don't think this post has any real animosity in it) but guess what, they are still allowed to post. In fact, some people on these boards can make ANY topic become contentious!
There are many people that appreciate the info and I will continue to discuss it with those that want to. I've never once tried to bully anyone into not buying something but I will post that something is not cruelty free if they ask or it is mentioned, for those that DO care about the issue.
Sorry but you won't bully me into not discussing something I choose to discuss, just because you agree or disagree with the topic, especially when it isn't violating any standards and it is a BEAUTY issue many people do care about. That is the whole point of forums like these- to discuss all sorts of issues and topics and, most of the time, it is done in a polite, mature way, even when we don't agree.

Why would anyone want to purchase something that is not tested on a living being? I've seen first hand how beneficial animal testing can be.
Also, the results are rarely as severe as what PETA wants you to thinks.
You are wrong- "non tested on animals" is the VERY DEFINITION of "cruelty free", a least in terms of the beauty industry labeling!
And you are disillusioned if you think the results are "rarely as severe" as what Peta "wants you to think" - either that or just naive or don't want to know the truth of what really goes on. Which is your choice but please don't try to minimize what actually goes on during animal testing.
And why would anyone want to purchase something not tested on a living being? Well, because we CARE about life, be it human or otherwise, and the suffering of our fellow beings. You use WEN- you do realize it was NOT tested on a living being, correct? And yet you still use it and you lived. Also, we are talking about beauty products- animals don't need to die so we can have pretty eyeshadow when it is completely unnecessary.
Thanks Danish, see I think we are on the same page.

Go to The Beagle Freedom Project's website, see what they show. They DO NOT overdramatize the situation at all either. Think of a cute little beagle and see his/her face and then think of it having things stiffed into its throat, mouth and eyes, every day. Think that after these places are done using them this way, they kill them rather than put them up for adoption because they deem them unfit to rehome. BFP lobbies to rescue them, rehome them and rehabilitate them and they are very successful at it. When I see a beagle face, I don't want to think something I purchased had anything to do with causing it pain!

The website for CIRS, a consulting firm that helps manufactures place their products in foreign markets, has information on meeting the Chinese requirements. The company must hire a Chinese agent, and submit dense technical details on the ingredients and percentages in their cosmetics. Products containing already approved ingredients can receive a waiver from animal testing. Isomers website shows a sales agent called SaintAngel. It looks like only 10 items are for sale there.

Although I agree with you that each of us will make our own decisions and that no one should be insulted or bullied, I think that your point would be better directed to a thread that wasn't labeled "Animal testing."
Once the topic is clear, you should accept that there might be a discussion that involves varying opinions. And as with any topic that brings out passion, it always has the potential for a heated back-and-forth. This has been quite mild so far, though.

Thank you Nikalette for bringing the subject up,it's important to me that I don't buy products tested on animals. I also belong to many wildlife and animal rights groups. Have to speak for those with no voice and speaking with your $ is the language we all understand.

Neither will I. And I did use a few of his products. Upon further research, I was shocked at some of the ingredients that cause health problems. If you are true to being cruelty free, do your research and you might find out more than you bargained for.
I, personally think these companies need to come clean. I am so tired of mis-information. I send letters to some on Facebook and they get back with the usual commitment to being cruelty free, but....China.
I haven't contacted PTR about this because they have the worst customer service of anyone, and I already know anyway.

They lie and say they do not because they tthink we are dumb and do not know what happens in China
I am very careful what I buy. I will not sacrifice an animal for my pleasure ever.
Yes I am vegan,totally!
Don't fall for those dumb excuses those companies make to confuse you.
