Hi phluphy and Benzi, thank you for your interest in my tests.
Last night I had the one at the eye doctor's office. I don't know how to spell it, something like flurosene. Anyway, they take pictures in the back of the eye, without dye first, then the doc injected dye and they took more. No pain. Just bright light. When it was over, everything had a sort of pink haze over it, but it cleared up fairly soon.
The good news is that he didn't see anything wrong. My macula are in fine shape. There is something age related way out on the periphery, but it doesn't affect my vision at all. He wants me back so he can work some more at correcting my vision to 20/25 in my good eye. I have ambliopia in the other one. Am blessed and thankful to the Lord for His presence with me and for DD and a wonderful doctor, who BTW is gorgeous.

Bobbisue, we DO read your posts and answer them.
Maybe the type is too small for you to read. Am sorry about that. So grateful you have kicked the smoking habit.
As others have said, and you now know, breathing will be easier and food will taste better.
We are all behind you saying YEAH! You go girl.
You are loved,

halfpint1, so sorry you are going through this hard time. You are always welcome here. Someone will listen to you and maybe offer a suggestion here or there that will help.
My assumption is that your DH is at home confined to bed, so you are his caregiver. Forgive me if I'm wrong about that.
My hubby went Home on October 17, 2010 after years battling heart disease, Parkinsons and cancer. He was at home under hospice. I was his caregiver also.
I wasn't able to focus to read for quite a while after he was gone, but like others, had the TV on all the time. I still do, or I listen to my internet radio. I stay up until somewhere between 1-2 a.m., and sleep until around 10:30. I know that sounds odd, but it's how my body wants it, and it doesn't matter.
Getting out now and then where there are people helps. Doesn't matter if you know them or not, just that you see life going on.
Your kitties will help you a lot. Others here have pets who have been a huge blessing to them.
I'm grateful you have a son nearby. Family is so important.
I spend a lot of time playing games on my Kindle, especially in the evening.
I'm nearly 82. Still drive, but not on the freeway anymore. I'm content to be at home most of the time.
We will be thinking of you and praying for you and looking for your posts. This is a safe place to air your feelings. Everyone understands.

phluphy, thank you for your concern about my health issues.
Monday I will hear what the GI doc thinks about the barium swallow test. I have to think it it had been anything terrible, he would have called, but it will be good to hear. DD#1 will take me and I'll be glad for her ears listening.
Yesterday I had the test at the eye doctor's office. They take pictures behind the eye where they can't see any other way. Some with and some without dye. He said all is well. My macula are in good condition. There is some age related change in the extreme periphery, but it doesn't affect my vision. I am greatly blessed.
Hope you are feeling better all the time and enjoying your day.

bobbisue, hope your doctor was able to correct your prescription so your vision will be lots better.
When you post here, we do read and answer. Hope you will be able to read now.
You have done nothing to make anyone mad at you. You are a wonderful person and we all love you.

bobbisue, so glad you made it to the doc and back. Your red glass frames sound great! You will be making a fashion statement. Yes, glasses are expensive.
Does your insurance pay any part of them? Mine does, but only if I buy a certain type of frame, and I never like them. Vanity, I guess.
Love you,

Halfpint1, so sorry for your loss. There was another lady who recently lost her DH, but I can't recall her name. I express my condolences to both of you. She had asked what we do all day because she does not drive. She has a son that helps her and how very lucky she is to have him there for her. I drive, at least for now. My eyes are bad and I hope I pass the driver's license test at the end of this year. I watch a lot of TV and I love my church programs. I go to church on Sundays either by myself or with friends.
I hope you have friends who visit you and you visit them. I hope that you will ask God for peace and comfort. How old was your DH? My husband Buck passed in 2001 from Emphysema and COPD. I picked up my bad habbits from him. We both smoked. But now I'm on the right track. I'm so glad your son is good to you. How wonderful!
Have a good night and may God bless you.

Hi Snappy and Friends, It's getting close to shutting the computer off time for me, but I wanted to say hi and that I'm glad your medical tests are turning out ok for you. You are good about taking care of yourself, I wish I was, I avoid going to the doctor as much as I can. White coat syndrome, even though my dad, several uncles were doctors. Mom was a nurse and so were 3 of her sisters and one was a lab. tech. I have many cousins that are doctors, nurses and dentists, plus my brother and his wife are nurses and my nephew too. I'm surrounded by all these medical persons and avoid seeing any of that kind of person professionally. I do go, but kicking and screaming all the way.!!!!!!![]()
Well almost.
It was nice here today 72 and no humidity, bright sunshine, a good beach day for the snowbirds. It's supposed to be nice this weekend, and I can't imagine how congested the highways will be with people trying to cross the 2, maybe 3 causeways that lead to Clearwater and Clearwater Beach, Also St. Petersberg Beach. When you get there, it's hard to find a parking place. Thousands of people try to get there everyday when it's nice, but on the weekends it's wall to wall cars, motorcycles, etc.
A few photos of Clearwater Beach below:
