I have seen the ROCKETTES many times in NYC in December. I have been there when the weather is ugly.

Wear comfortable old boots and go. The streets and sidewalks can get sloppy.

The show has always been fantastic.  I even took my children every year when they were really young.  They loved it and behaved and sat through the whole show.

@haddon9

I grew in up NJ & every year for my birthday my Grandmother would take me to Radio City to see the movie & watch the Rockettes.  Then we'd go shopping & stop in for cheesecake at Junior's.  Do you recall when they stopped showing movies?

I'm now in CA, last year my husband & I came in to NY, at Christmas time.  It's so special to see "The" tree, all the store windows, some Broadway shows, &, of course, Radio CIty starring the Rockettes.  We try to come every couple of years.

Given that multiple millions of people live and work in NYC, I think you can assume that it is not too cold to visit. Wearing warm clothes is also assumed since December is in the winter.

@Jrzgirl I really don't know when they stopped the movies...maybe they still do them occasionally?  I am just making a guess.  I used to love going to the movies & shows.  We would go out to eat then too.

I went to Juniors several years ago and had my favorite fattening foods!!....corned beef on rye and cheesecake of course!!Smiley Happy

It makes me wonder what they do in Radio City the rest of the year when it's not during the Christmas show?

Movies stopped sometime in the very early 1980s.

Now it hosts a wide variety of concerts, musical acts, stand up performances and awards shows.

The Tony Awards will return there in 2025 and Hugh Jackman will be in residence for most of 2025 with monthly shows.
