@Winifred  Freddie I am sincerely sorry that you lost your friend Mary.  My faith has always comforted me that loved ones (family, friends and my animal companions) are in a better place.  That said, being left behind stinks.

@Bird mama What a pretty car.  Can't wait to hear the name. I get sentimental about cars too. After all, it listens to my problems without protest.   I told my last car salesmen not to sell my old one to just anyone. And to make sure it had a roof over its head.  He just smiled.  Lol

Another chilly morning. Say my on earth goodbye to Miss Mary this morning at her service being held. I miss that feisty lady already but she finally is at peace. Her life the past couple years has been horrific. Then I will have a little amount of time to try and get my cold weather clothes hung up and store away my hot weather clothes. Course each season I always leave some out of the season leaving as our weather is never on target. Trouble is this house has tiny closets so I cannot keep all my clothes in the house. They have to be packed and put out in the shed. Hate doing that but all the small amount of closet space in this house is being used. There is no way to enlarge these closets either. Mornings are staying very cool so sometime this month - usually hits us between the eyes on Hallowe'en, it burns very cold overnight. Kids always freeze while trick or treating. Interesting. Days still up in the 80s however now.

@Winifred  Yesterday was a cool, grey day, and I actually had to put jeans on as my legs were freezing, even had to keep the pus inside, but today, they are out, as the weather is nice and sunny, but a bit cool so far today.

thank you ladies for your thoughts and your prayers.  My niece was buried on wed.,and today her beloved grand-daughter is being discharged from the hospital. Like to think she is watching over her.

we have  had some very humid weather,but it's lovely sleeping at night.

today I started to clean our garage.its attached to the house so it seems as if everything goes out there. I told Vin that we were getting it done after our bedroom was done. I have said that for 17 years and to deaf ears.he was very surprised when he came home today to find me out there with vacuum in hand.we got it about one third done,and plenty of trash to go out tomorrow. It will go slow,but at least it's getting done.i will feel it tomorrow,but I am being smart and taking 20 min.break to rest my back.

next the basement.ihave not told him that yet,Ha,Ha!!!

Yesterday was so hectic between work and picking up the car I didn't even check email when I got home, lol.

I feel kind of guilty posting this - we're having another day of rain and today it is pretty steady.  I wish I could blink and just send the rain to CA for the rest of the day and night.  Don't know if it would be the solution but sure would help those fighting the fire.

Went to the dentist for my semi-annual cleaning.  No cavaties or issues.  I do have a dental maximum of benefits available to me and seeing as I am seriously considering retirement, have scheduled another appt with the dentist (she wasn't in the office today - a different associate) to talk about some dental work she proposed.  I foresee me spending what's left of this year's dental benefit max and next year's.

While it is our typical chilly morning, it will be a hot one today. Yesterday was warm but not bad at all. Stayed busy trying to get cool/cold weather clothes in line as with no warning it will turn frigid - usually Hallowe'en night however. LOL. Just want to be ready and yes, I have warm weather clothes still available also. Just did not want to be caught up at a point I could get nothing right to wear - have to take advantage of the less stressful moments to do things - does not always work out well however.

This morning kids with Sherry, had not wanted to leave the little girl but ran into a help problem yesterday. Grrrr. At any rate in a couple hours am going to Aldi's for Gaye, she does not drive much any more. She is not feeling the best in the world and I am so worried about her. Two of her four children live here but they cannot always assist her when she needs it. One son moved to Idaho - he ALWAYS was close to her - about two years ago. That really surprised me. He remarried and off they went - still am shocked over that as he was super close to his Mom. Takes all kinds I guess. But Gaye is falling a lot and like me she has tissue paper for skin. His new wife had never been married before and always lived with her Mom. She also left her Mother in an assisted living facility - I found that so very weird. Gaye's son lost his wife of 37 years from Cancer. They were very very close but he found another lady quickly - online to boot.

I went outside last night and the motion light did NOT come on and I fell and messed up one leg pretty good. Took a big chunk of skin off but I am OK. Was so angry as Shannon watched?? the kids yesterday while I went to church. Bikes, big toys, etc were all right outside the back door to the yard and I just fell over a couple things when I went out with the trash. Someone tell me why when kids have stuff strewn everywhere whomever is watching them does not make sure they put stuff up when playtime is over.Just plain dumb as I could have really hurt myself bad. Course the ow- eeeee isn't good but I broke nothing - am sore but I am fortunate. I could not see a thing - next time I will flip the motion light first to make sure it turns on - you have to do that sometimes.

I am glad that you weren't more seriously hurt.   I suppose it's too much to expect that you get another opinion on your wound.   And can you see everything that might have been affected in the back.  

Im not even going to ask why you were carrying trash out at night.

Hello all, today ends my 4 day weekend and I'm trying not to think about it, lol.

It was mild, overcast and kind of blustery yesterday.  Short of making a quick run to target, I was not outside much.

Today I decided to take the rake and do the front yard.  Grass and leaves too moist to use the mower to mulch.  I figure the exercise was good for me.  I picked up twigs, branches and pine cones from the back yard and cleaned up the patio.

It's supposed to be dry the rest of the week so I will take the lawnmower to the back yard later this week.  My lawnmower has a thing that allows me to adjust how much I bag and how much I mulch.  I will probably set the thing at 50% and bag half/mulch half of the little walnut tree leaves in the back yard.  The grass hasn't grown much at all in the last month - time to use the mower as a vacuum :-)

I was gonna swap out the back screen on the storm door for the glass this weekend, however since we are still getting 70 degree weather (at least until next weekend), I'm gonna hold off another week.  I try to get my fresh air as long as possible.

I have one of those motion lights too Freddie @Winifred.  I have to remember to flip the switch myself.  I turned it off because the critters that come to eat at dusk and dark (raccoon, possum) would cause the light to come on and then get scared, lol.

It's a shame you can't get any cooperation Freddie.  I'm so glad I live alone, I can't even find the words :-)
