I’m truly sorry for your son and family. I had a friend whose house caught fire. I’ll never forget her description of the fire and its aftermath. The loss of your son’s cat is so sad but thank God the rest got out. Prayers go out to all of you.

@AndreaTooDaughter@AmericanBulldogMom and Ladies. It has been found that a small refrigerator in the basement which sat on carpet caused the fire. Also, asbostos has been found in the basement. Apparently. they will have to rebuild.

I don't know how this will effect the vacation home they're in.

Update 2/10/19

@Andreatoo@AmericanBulldogMom@Annebellethecat and Ladies,

They've been able to get a rental house and get out of the $1,000 a week vacation house while they rebuild.  I didnt know that was what they were paying, just that the need was urgent.

It's amazing that a woman whom is leaving the east and moving to California has offered them an entire barn full of antiques! (We don't know what is in there, but we are thankful for the gift). The house they will rent is also near our youngest GS's school.  He is 6.

@AndreatooIn my experience, insurance would have paid, but I don't know how long.  A hotel and meals for 4 would have been more expensive plus boarding for 3 dogs.

Bless them all and I hope their church helps them.  I am upset about the cat.  I hope once they are on their feet again, they are able to get another cat.
