ON A SAD note, our son, wife, and two boys had their home catch on fire today.  It took half of the house, the dinning room and kitchen.  Their clothes (I hope) are ok.  I had bought all of her clothing and shoes.  She's on the first steps of being a realitor.  They lost their 13 yr old cat which my son rescued on a rainy winter night.  The little kitten was tied up in wires.

DS saw the fire coming up from the corner of the house under the deck in the basement room.  It very much sounds like wiring.

They are very active participants in their church and DH's best friend is the associate minister who is married to DIL's sister.

Please keep them in your prayers.

Prayers going up for your son and his family, ECBG.  May their troubles be made lighter and joy and ease of living return to them.  The very good news is that there was no loss of life to the human family.  Sorry the cat was lost to the fire.

So very sorry for your son's losses, including their cat, @ECBG. I will be holding them, and you closely in my prayers. Hard enough to struggle one's way back from something like this.....worse yet in the winter. 😰🙏🏼

So sorry about the cat and other losses. Thank heavens your son, dil, and grandchildren were not injured. Some years ago my work partner's house partially burned. That was in winter too. Most clothes and some furnishings were able to be used again after a company got rid of the smoke damage. Hopefully your dil's clothes and everyone else's will be ok.
