We got 12 inches of light puffy snow.  It snowed for most of the day but it was beautiful and the kids had a ball playing in it.  Schools had snow days so kids and school employees have a nice long weekend.

6 more inches of snow dropped on this area of WV last night.   Our high temperature today was 12.

My sister lives in Washington in a small town called Levenworth, Wa.  They got so much snow, the National Guard had to be called.

She has been shoveling for 5 to 12 hours and sent me pictures.

Cannot see the stairs and snow almost up to her front window.

It's beautiful, but the passes are all closed. They can't get out of town if they wanted.

It is a great tourest town, but not at this moment.

She has also been snow plowing. She knows what to do, but this has never happened in years.

Her and her partner are handling everything around their home.  Lots of food and supplies.  They are even shoveling her neighbors driveways and road.

Like she said, snow is beautiful, but not when you have all this work.  They got 36" and in some places in town 48".

Also, very cold.  At one point 4degrees.

Jan 14: We are expecting 12" snow today with the big storm in the midwest.  The far NE corner of our state already received that much overnight and is expecting a lot more today.

Jan 15: I put a ruler in an area without drifting today and it disappeared so we received more than 12".
