Rain today, and for the next few days in WV, with a chance of it turning to snow flurries by Monday.   No accumulation expected.

@Kachina624   @SilleeMee  have you gotten any snow?  We've had it everyday.  The sun is supposed to come out Saturday...I'll take pics then. We really haven't had sun fo any extended time in days...DW

None so far. But GOOD NEWS! There is a storm heading our way tomorrow night and they are saying it will leave measurable amounts of snow, possibly 2 to 3 inches, and it will stay on the ground b/c it's going to be cold. I'm thrilled. Got my snow shovel ready to go.Woman Very Happy

And let's hope the snow does happen to help out the Boulde / Superior firs. So devastating, at least the wind died down, Boulder had 100-110mph winds today fueling the fires. We had a 160 acre fire that came pretty close to us on Monday, bring on the snow!

@rockygems123  I've been reading about those devastating fires.  So many houses gone? Have they said what started the fires?  DW

That's terrible about the Boulder area. That wind is fierce. Here in Colo Sprgs we had 115mph gusts a couple of weeks ago. It was a historic wind event, the likes which I have never seen in all my 50+ years of living here. I feel for those people up near Boulder. The entire front range is in a severe and extreme drought and fire + wind is very scary!

@SilleeMee  I can't even imagine what those poor people are going through...two towns evacuated...one article I read said 600 structures gone..unbelievable...DW

@dancingwoman

The fire up near Boulder was caused from power lines which were damaged by the high winds.

@SilleeMee  Thanks.  I wondered if that was the cause.  Thx...DW
