Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hi, @mare54. Thanks for joining in. I bet you and pup have fun during your walks....although pup may have more fun than you! You're doing great.

Bopper, have funtil at the ball game. Good that you won'the have to board Logan. The game I went to the other night was good...it was a cool, lovely eve ingredients,  no bugs.

Hi, Laura and Lucy and Cater.  Cater, I hope you're doing well.  Haven't heard from you in a while.

I took a rest day yesterday, and today my workout felt so easy.  So I pushed a little more. Rest days really are important,  too, as long as we don'the take too many of them, lol.

I saw on another thread that Judy arrived in Belfast without mishap. Judy, in case you read our thread, wishing you a great time!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Happy Saturday! It's a beautiful day here.  I hope those in this nasty hurricane stay safe!

I haven't done much today, went to the funeral this morning, then just packing and cleaning.

I just got stung by a wasp on the back of my neck.  We have so many of them, they like the flowers on the deck and the hummingbird food and apparently my neck!

Welcome mare54, My dog likes his walks too.  We almost go everyday although it's been so hot for us and he is a Sheltie so has a thick coat of fur, I didn't take him on the hot days.  I have a trail by my house I like to go on too.

Nomless agree we need rest days!  Glad you enjoyed your game, they are fun to watch aren't they?

Iluvlucy I hope you enjoy your weekend, and not too much rain comes down.

Laura good run, your moving!

Judy as nomless said Glad you arrived safely!  Anxious to hear about your adventure!

Okay kids, I may not be posting until Tuesday as I am not sure how the internet connection will be, but  I  think you will all be ok until I'm back on the grid!

Happy Labor Day!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Went hard in Ride class today.  I just don't know what to do with myself.  Every Labor Day weekend I've always gone to the convention.  First year not going and I'm lost.  I did change over to my Fall decor which makes me feel good and my velvet sheets went on clearance so I picked up another set in a new color.

I've also discovered salt scrubs.  Where have these been all my life?  My skin feels so good.  Trying to get motivated to get out later today or tomorrow.  Hope everyone is having a good holiday.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Go mare54!  Welcome and congratulations!

What a weekend we've had!  Everyone drives into a Tropical Storm...right? Smiley Wink  It wasn't too bad but they did have 50-mph winds and flooding.  They had sandbags a the door when we got to the hotel.

The wedding was beautiful....me, not so much..lol!  On top of my face being swollen, I had a horrible headache Friday night so had to break down and take Advil...which gave me the weird eyes, droop face(it's like the muscles and nerve endings let loose similar to stroke-face), and made my face even more lopsided and swollen...and rain, humidity, and wind are great for natural-curly hair...lol.  I sure hope someone can figure this out at some point because I'm beyond tired of dealing with this face...most people wouldn't even have gone but I tried to go with the flow and enjoy the memories.

We had a wonderful time though, so nice seeing everyone but it was a whirlwind.  And we've had a blast with the kids, they're still here.  OH!  And Sunday morning we were supposed to go to our old church then to a bbq but I stuck Lucy's pill bottle in my purse by accident instead of my steroids so we had to cancel and drive home...ugh.

It's cool out...yay!  We're heading out here in a bit for some fresh air.  I hope everyone is having a nice weekend and enjoying the holiday.  Not sure what else we'll do, I know they want to get on the road at a decent hour since they both work tomorrow.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@Iluvlucy - I hope your face gets better....I am sure you've been checked for everything, right?  My sis had a similar thing happen to her....like a short-term Bell's palsy.  It went away as mysteriously as it came on.  Her doc thought it might be related to her chronic kidney stones and problems......I said, wuh?

i did 2.6mi./34 min. On the treadmill.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Lucy, you sure did have a crazy weekend, what with the weather, dogs, wedding, kids, med issues.....my goodness. Glad you were able to tell what matters most - friends and family - and had fun despite it all.

We had a nice weekend, but now it's very hot again and will remain so all week. I felt that good today and did an extra long workout.  The time went by fast, and I was happy that I was able to do it so easily.

Now watching a ball game, doing some reading.  Not worrying about chores. A very  nice day!
