Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hey everyone, was a warm humid day here today.   Didn't do a lot but took 2 dog walks and cleaned the garage, laundry and some light stretching on the reformer.

Football tomorrow and it's supposed to be raining so I won't feel so bad about not being outside.  Would be nice if it isn't an all day thing.

Not much new here since yesterday so I'll say have a nice relaxing evening!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hi, friends. I hope you're enjoying your day.

I did cardio today. It's beginning to feel like a habit again. At least I'm remembering to do it, that's a good first step. 😃

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Happy Sunday Funday, it was raining and miserable this morning but we looked at the afternoon forecast and it was clearing and we ended up hiking again, so fun and so pretty.  Then our Raptor Center was having an open house and short program so we went to that, saw some amazing rescue bird these people rehabiltate and it was very interesting.

Grilling out now and watching football,  a perfect day!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Happy morning, everyone.  I hope today is a little less humid than yesterday...yuck.  With all of this coolish days that we had, yesterday was very uncomfortable.  At least the nigh got better...more fall like.  Any way, I hope everyone had a pleasant and healthy weekend.

Doing my senior cardio and body/strength classes today.  If I get there early, I might walk a bit.

Stay safe everyone.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Grrr...I'm interested in the Alegria TSV, but some reviews say they run short, some say they run big, and a couple say one shoe is bigger than the other. Given all that, I have no idea what size to order, and I hate the hassle of returning. So I guess I'll stick to my resolution to buy shoes locally so that I can try them on first. The TSV is a good price, at $37 below retail, but it's not worth the risk. And....I don't really need them, I guess. Sigh.

Off do to a little bit of cardio. Not in the mood, but I'd better get it done.

Total Gym workout with Brown done.  I pinched a nerve in my arm a few days ago and my pinky and ring finger are numb.  Hopefully it will work its way out.

Have a happy Monday everyone!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Ouch, Mick. I hope those fingers are better soon.

Ok. I'm over my snit and ordered the shoes. Local stores may never get this style, so I might as well try them while I can.

And I did my workout. I'm getting back into treating it like a job....something I need to do, like it or not. And I didn't like it, lol, but it's done.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hey all, Monday night football, Go Lions!   Missing DWTS's unfortuntely and the season finale of ANW.

Did a nice walk this morning, and only in the 40's and I almost needed gloves.  I did have to wear my winter hat though.  I did warm up fast though as I go at a good clip.

Then a dog walk and reformer this afternoon, laundry and the usual.

Nomless I hope you like the shoes.   I have never tried those before but they looked comfy.

MickD ouch on the finger, I sure hope that subsides for you soon!

foxxie it's humid here too, even when it's cool it's so dam

Sleep well everyone!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone.  I guess this is Indian summer that we're having.  Extra warm all of this week.  It rained last night and I could hear my brown grass breathing a loud sigh of happiness.

@bopper, DWTS was pretty good last night.  Nobody was terrible for a change...unless I dozed and missed them.  Next week will be two shows and an elimination.

@nomless, I've got maybe ten pairs of Alegria, that how much I love them.  But the last tsv was a disappointment.  The heel was different than my others, higher.  I ordered two pair and they aren't as comfortable, in fact, although it is the same style, one is less comfortable than the other.  As with a lot of things, the quality seems to have gone down.  I think that the one you're referring to has the heel that I liked.  When I was working, I walked all day with them.

Body and Sculpt, Flexibility and Zumba today if all goes well.

Have a great day.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@nomless  I have the cutest pair of Alegria T-strap heels that I love!  I wish I could find more styles in this brand that I like but I have a hard time with what's usually offered.  I'm not a mule/clog person.  Love the pair I have though.  My Vionics are not holding up like I think they should.  I really need to find a good shoe brand since my parents didn't give me any arches.  I hope your TSV works for you.

OMG, wellness thread peeps, was I bad.  I mean B-A-D.  I needed, I mean needed, pizza last week.  So last Tuesday when I clocked out after the storm, I went and got hot pockets thinking that would be better than a whole pizza and just me.

Um, no.  It was really good!  So good I ended up treating myself again over the weekend, plus they were on sale, so I got two boxes and I ate all four Hot Pockets over the weekend.  Smiley Sad  That demon food will never cross my threshold again.

Plus a bag of Sun Chips may also have found its way into my cart and followed me home and been eaten over the weekend too.   I haven't been bad like this since vacation in Springtime.  Smiley Surprised

At least I didn't go straight to a hot place and indulge in sugar.  I managed to avoid the worst!

So Monday, the hammer was put down and I ate all good food and I will continue to do so this week and forever.  I even pulled out my Vitamix and made my first Broccoli Soup of the Fall season for dinner last night.

This morning, I did my half hour of Pound.  We were off last week due to the storm so it's been two weeks since we Pounded.  It was a bit rough but we all got through.

Then only about 13 people showed up for Power.  Not sure where everyone was but Mrs. Rudeness was back and stayed on the other side of the room by the door.  Plenty of room for weights and lunges and my legs already hurt.

I haven't been hiking in a while and I miss it.  I will probably do that tomorrow before I lose the daylight in the evenings with the time change coming.  I hope the trails are cleaned up from the mess we had last week.  I guess I'll see.

Happy Tuesday everyone!
