Good morning everyone!  Beautiful picture as usual, @bopper for this brand new month.

It's Thursday so it’s early Zumba day.  I might do some walking since I haven’t done any this week.  Btw, @JudyD, I hope your feet are better.

Have a great day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Went to Power today and walked in to my space almost being taken.  Turns out a couple of regulars staked out right next to me.  I know no one's name is on the floor but I try and be courteous of where the regular people like to set up.  It's just courtesy to me.

I was able to squeeze in to my normal space and these two finally come walking in.  I recognize the girl who is part of the reason I stopped going to Ride class.  She would always come in late and find a bike near me.  For some reason, she wants to be a living pigpen and it is just extremely difficult to breathe around her especially when you need to take deep breaths during exercise.

Sure enough, Pigpen lived up to her name about halfway through the Power class.  I so wanted to tell her to go to the bathroom and wash up.  I just don't understand again the lack of common courtesy.  If you want or need to do that, go set up away from people.  It's disgusting.

I got through it.  I think I'll be safe on Tuesday with Pound class first but if they set up next to me again on Thursday I'm moving and I really hate to do that.  I like my little corner but I like breathing more.

Hope your Tuesday is off to a better start.  Heart

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Good morning, all!

@Laura14, I completely agree--I have my 'spot' in my regular classes and because I get there early enough--I usually get my spot and it seems that most people know to stay away from "our" corner (there are 4 of us back there).

Today is Zumba and the debut of a new playlist which includes Earth, Wind and Fire, Tina Turner, The Wobble, Brick House and New Kids on the Block!  I hope everyone likes this playlist as much as I do!!

Hope you all survived Halloween.  I don't open the door because of my dogs, but judging from the lack of noise and postings on my neighborhood group FB page--there weren't a lot of kids out last night.

Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Lol....@Laura14, pigpen?  All kinds of visuals and scents come to mind, lol.  I haven't encountered any stinkpots but I do see some come to class obviously thinking that knowing they will sweat means don't have a neat hairdo and decent workout attire.  Even a ponytail, which I wore for the first two years I was at the center til I did a drastic cut, was always neat.  And I never wear clothing that I would, say, do yard work in, to workout.  But then, I'm a vain person.

And yes, I have my daily spot and am upset if a regular attendee grabs it.  But that hasn't happened in a long time.  Most are respectful and give space.  I like to be up front to get a breeze from the fan and to see the instructor.  Oh, and watch my form in the mirror.

Well @DrKelli if they don't like your playlist, I do, lol.  This morning my Zumba instructor did two Halloween songs, lol.  Guess she didn't realize yesterday was Halloween, lol.  Monster Mash and Thriller, both I like.  What she did was play the exact playlist from Saturday and last Thursday.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Hey ya'all, I had my GD most of today so that's why I'm late posting.  She is a mover, she never stops and no nap in the morning and she's only 2 1/2 but her phrases she says almost send me over the edge with laughter, "gramma, I dodged a bullet today"...wore her swim suit over her regular clothes here.   Then she's wearing her backpack and saying she's going to do her homework, we played dr. with her dr. kit too.  Play dough, slime, colored, walked outside...played in a fort and a cardboard box.   She doesn't stop, she wore me out!!  I was afraid I wouldn't meet my fitbit goals but I exceeded them.  Yesterday I had over 20, 000 steps, which frankly is high for me.  Today I have over 14,000....It feels good to sit now with my coffee watching the news.

I can't imagine being in a class with someone stinky or that doesn't have good hygeine.   That's gross.

I see tonight they said winter weather next week so here we go..........sigh........... hate driving on slippery roads, even plowed roads are slick...

I bought this 20$ tinsel tree from LTC Commedities, and it's beautiful.  I wanted one last year and missed out and it had good reviews and I thought this year I won't miss out.  I mean it's small, 64 inches and is a pencil tree but it's gold and silver with twinkle lights and for 20$, I'll take it!  Just nice for a darker small corner of the house.

Going to watch the ever so depressing news now,  have a great night!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone!  @bopper  the day with your granddaughter sounds like heaven.  How nice she is close by so you can spend time together.

The cataract surgeon's office called today and my surgery is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 15 in the afternoon.  The procedure only takes 15 minutes.  Will see my primary care physician next week for a pre-op physical.  Should have orthotics next week or first of the following week.

So very tired of seeing doctors.  Been a long day and I'm tired but wanted to check in.

@bopper  She sounds so adorable!  I am so sad my nieces have grown up.  I have one left who's still "little".

@JudyL  I am thinking of you.  Heart
