Hi everyone. Yep, watched the Manchester bombing all unfold last night while DH was on the phone for 2 hours. So very sad. And some people are finally starting to realize it isn't going to stop.
Got 5+ miles in really early this morning since I couldn't sleep. So comfortable with temps in the 40's.
Taking today off HH and going biking since it's our only free-day(dh has 3rd interview lunch tomorrow, home appts, etc). Looked at the trails online and found the one we want to do. So many to choose from so we'll try and hit them all once we live here.
Heard from the kids, they're having a great time(on a cruise). My dil did an 8-mile mud run a couple of weeks ago and said it was one of the hardest things she's ever done...all up hill and full of mud so hard to get a grip and very slippery. The worst was you had to wade through water up to your chest and it was 40* and cold..said she froze and her lips were blue. Everyone was glad to get through it so they could warm up.
Oh boy, dh is ready to roll...literally! Waving to all! MickD, sorry about your ds. ![]()

I have done a number of the Dirty Girl runs. The last few years, they've been held in my home town in the mountains. The water sits overnight and usually has a layer of ice on it (35 degrees usually in the morning). Once you get going, it's fine, but if there is any wind, you get cold quick!

Well, @DrKelli and @Iluvlucy, I'm impressed. You could sign up for the Survivor Show, lol. And @MickD. @bopper, too. @nomless, you and I have some catching up to do. On second thought, it's too late for me to catch up, lol.
@DrKelli, you'll have to tell me what Dirty Girls exactly is other than swimming in icy water.

It's a mud run (walk) obstacle course for women only. I've done coed ones and don't like them because the men were so aggressive. There are slides and cargo nets climbs. My friends from elementary and junior high were my teammates. The group picture is my trainer, a woman that had no one to run with, me and my friend Sue, from 6th grade.

Mud runs, oh, my, I'm impressed. Really! 😊 They're tough, and, no, I won't 3ver do one.
That makes me think of American Ninja Warrior which will start soon. Yea!

Mud....ok, the word 'dirty' should have been a clue, lol. I'm with @nomless, I won't be trying that. Even if I were younger, lol.
Hey, everybody, I heard from Laura14 earlier. She's ok and is just too busy right now to post. She starting a new career and it requires all of her attention. She saw my shoutout and responded. I feel better knowing she's ok.

Good morning, everyone. Why I couldn't sleep last night, I have no idea. I turned n around 1:30 am and might have slept an hour and a half. Even the rain didn't help. I'm waiting to see what my Fitbit calculates. Got up for my coffee around 4:30. Then I remembered that I had a load of clothes in the washer so I put some of them in the dryer. I always put half of the load in the dryer at a time. I don't know how I forgot that I had washed, lol.
No instructor classes today so I'll walk the track and call it a wrap. I'll probably be sluggish anyway.
Enjoy your day group and don't overdo it. @bopper, did you hip get better?

Foxxie, thanks for letting us know you heard from Laura. I'm glad to know she's ok and is pursuing a new job path. She talked about that shortly before she stopped posting here, glad to know she's taking steps forward. Hope the her new path will allow her to make that move to Dubuque that was her dream.
DWTS was fun last night. Being a Cubbie, I was pulling for Grandpa Rossy. So surprised and happy he made it to the finals...based more on his lovable character and personality than dancing skill. I expected him to come in third, so was pleased with his second place finish. He sure gave it his all and did his best. He was so much fun to watch.....always made me smile. Loved many of his dances....the first and last baseball numbers, for example. Realized he was quite good when he was dancing alongside his partner, but a little awkward in dances that required his to hold her. He did great.

Oh, blah! I'm too lethargic this morning. Normally, I'm about to go out the door right now. Not going out. I'll be angry at myself later.
@nomless, go over to Community Chat and read the thread about Board Friends Missing. The last page of it and see Laura14s post. She tells you what she's doing.

DrKelli...looks fun! DIL was on a team with men...lol...she's a tough cookie. She actually did better on the run than the rest of them but said some of the obstacles were hard for her. It was all uphill on ski slopes...no flat land at all.
So glad you heard from Laura and that she got a new job. I hope she likes it.
Spent the night in the ER again..and not so sure I won't be going back today. Last time we went house-hunting when moving from Va Beach, DS had ER surgery. Always fun times for us.
Never a dull moment.
Very weak today and nose, lips, face, etc., still quite swollen...so nothing for me, my only goal is to stay out of hospital. I hope everyone has a good day.
ETA: MickD, hope your son is better. Nothing worse than when one of our kids isn't well.
