Foxxie, what a bummer that the concert was postponed without widespread notification. They should have done better somehow. Will you want to / be able to go on the rescheduled date?
I finally switched out my bedroom drapes! I thought that folding the ones that were hanging would be a problem but it wasn't. The fabric is so lovely and flowy that by gathering the rings at the top, the drape naturally fell into narrow pleats. I folded that a couple of times and put it in the package that the new drapes were in.
FYI, I'm totally impressed with the quality of these drapes. From Kohls, the brand is Subzero, the style is Ludlow. The fabric is substantial and flowy with essentially no wrinkling. They don't need to be ironed. They really do block light without the plastic nature of most blackout curtains. They help to keep out the cold in winter and the heat in summer. The price was terrific....I got the new ones (54x84" panels) for $17.50 each on sale. I needed two, so $35 for the window. Good deal. They don't look inexpensive at all, they're lovely. When you need new drapes, check out the selection at Kohls.
Now will wash sheets then put the new spread on the bed. Yay! I'm glad I decided to make the change after angst about the cost. It turned out to be not so bad.
Butt first, I'm off do do some cardio. I probably won't do weights today.
ETA: sheets are washed and they and new bedspread are on bed. With the new drapes, it looks great. A bedspread that tucks under the pillows is a nice change from my quilt. And I did a workout. 😊

Good morning all. @nomless, I bet you feel like you're sleeping in a new bedroom now! How nice and refreshing. And your workout routine is back on track. Don't overdo, though, remember to ease into it.
No, I think I'm done with that concert. I'm going to try and get my money back. I called my credit card company to file a dispute and they said to try to work through the vendor first. So I did a request for a refund through the vendor.
I guess there was no way to get in touch with me to let me know the event was postponed but there wasn't even a note on the door of the college. This leads me to believe that the event was way undersold. So the July performance could be cancelled, too. Also, the fact that we were the only people in the parking lot waiting was strange.
Well, I hope all of you enjoy your day. I might go to the fitness center this morning for a nice walk.

Foxxie, it is nice to have a new look in the bedroom. I'm happy to know that switching out the drapes isn't a huge project.

@nomless yay for getting into the work out mode again! I bet your bedroom looks great! I don't have drapes in mine, but need some better blinds....it is very bright at night and I sleep with a pillow over my head!
@Mmsfoxxie what a bummer that the concert was cancelled...and with no notification???? What the heck? I hope you get a quick refund.
Did 2.75 mi/33 min on the treadmill.
Wishing everyone a safe Memorial Day!

Mick, my blinds let in too !ich light, too that's why I added curtains a few years ago.
I spent part of today trying on shoes and culling the ones that aren't comfortable. Also did some cardio. 😃

Hey everyone, it was a rainy Memorial Day here, on and off pouring all day and fog, 50's. Where is summer?
I did 60 minutes on the reformer, and some on my Xbike, watched baseball, took a short ride to town and that is about it.
Nomless your bedroom makeover sounds great. That's a very good deal on those drapes and the fact they block out the light without that heavy backing is really nice. I like bedspreads sometimes better than quilts and comforters. Right now I have a comforter but I may switch to my quilt. I don't own a bedspread. I still have the fleece on the bed, it's in the 40's at night. I like to sleep with the window cracked too.
Foxxie that's very disappointing about the concert.
MickD good job! Very consistent!
DrKelli you doing okay today?
Lucy hope your day was good for you.
Guess I"ll head to bed, sinus headache all day. Oh well, this too shall pass and I"ll do my netti pot. Hope we see sunshine some time this week!
Nighty night!

Happy Hump Day everyone, last day of May, hard to believe and we're still cold and rainy. It's only 50 outside, 40's at night. Tons of rain too. Oh well though, not much we can do about it.
Did 2 miles today on the wet trail, can you believe I have to wear boots (rainboots) but still boots. It's so wet and puddly and muddy back there. Logan goes around the mud puddles, he doesn't like water. Good boy
Good job MickD, how's your son doing?
Lucy are you doing okay, time to check in again.
I did see a couple posts on our June thread, I'll look there when I"m done here. I just wanted to post on our last day of May.
Did the dreaded grocery shopping earlier today, now making spaghetti sauce. Good day for it.
Not much news here, so adios!
