Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

[ Edited ]

Good evening!

Congrats Laura  on your back feeling so much better!

Bopper - glad you were able to get out for a walk today.

Nomless - I have faith in you - bet your numbers will be great!

I survived both the doctor and the dentist appts today.  Came home with a numb mouth and a sore upper back so decided not to do the BG tonight.  You're right Nomless, it was hard having them both in the same afternoon but I"m glad they are both over with.  May have to go to back to the doctor for some minor in-the-office surgery but that will probably be a few weeks away.

I do have good news from the doctors tho - my BP was 122/79 and my pulse was 58!  Best numbers that I've had in ages!  Wahooo!!!

Going to get in jammies and call it a day!  Good night!

P.S. Forgot to mention - Bopper - I ordered a set of the TSV sheets today too!  Hope I like them.  Needed a new set but I'm so used to all cotton sheets that I was a little nervous about buying sheets that are a cotton/poly blend.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

I was with @bopper and did my BG last night.  Also did it this morning before work.  We should name ourselves or something as we BG each night together.  Smiley Wink

Glad everyone is getting great doctor news.  I have my dentist appointment in about a week and then a followup in June for an ultrasound for my doctor so I'm not looking forward to those experiences or bills.  Smiley Sad

Hope everyone is having a great week.  Halfway!  Only three more days til I can tell Boss Satan to stuff it again.   Smiley Very Happy  Yay!

Oh, one more thing....one of my favorite shows is on tonight as a one-episode special - Battebots!  Is anyone else a fan? People build remote-controlled robots that battle each other.  I think it's so interesting to so what the builders come up with.  The show comes back next month as a 10-episode series.  It was last on last summer. I can't wait. Tonight's show is 9 PM Central on ABC I think if anyone is interested in checking it out.

Never saw it on tv but they do have them at a convention I've been to the past few years. Kind of cool what these people build and then battle with.  We need the space program back to start utilizing these minds.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Cardio done.

What a mnigjht last night.  I woke up because it was so noisy.  When I realized it was a storm, I turned on the TV to find out if it was or could become a tornado.  No, but winds were 60 mph with golf ball size hail.  The wind and hail hitting the windows made quite a racket.  My cats sat looking out the window with eyes as big as saucers, lol.  Driving to work this morning, snow plows were out in some places clearing streets filled with hail. This afternoon, I saw piles of hail 5' high.  My goodness.  I'm surprised but happy that most trees and plants got through it without too much damage.  Lots of leaves are everywhere, and a few branches are down, but most trees still have leaves and branches on them.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hi all, I had errands and running around to do but I did walk with Logan and then another short walk.  Was in the 60's..wahhhh hoooooooo    Cold for the weekend though so I'll take this.

Nomless sorry about the storms, sounds very scary.  Glad everyone is alright....

I didn't end up ordering the sheets either.  I wanted too but just didn't want to spend the $ even though the price was good...

Watching Survivor now and baseball!

Have a good night everyone!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

@nomless  Glad you're okay!  That sounds like a bad storm.  Glad to hear you and your property are okay.

I did my short Ride class this morning.  Me and a girl next to me left and stretched elsewhere.  We will be changing to the other side of the room next week since some people don't understand gym etiquette.  The same person that aggravated me Monday came in late today and sat right next to me.  I could barely breathe again and had it not been the short class would have moved elsewhere midway through.  I don't care about embarrassing anyone anymore.  It's just wrong and inconsiderate.  I'm finding I have a lower tolerance since I've found activities outside of the gym lately.  I may be finding more.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a better week.   Happy Thursday!!  Smiley Happy

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

My legs are a little sore today, and I'm due for a rest day, so no workout today.

Instead, I went to Target to get a set of their percale sheets.  On another thread, several people said they like them a lot, they keep their crispness. I'm a fan of crisp sheets so I decided to give them a try.

Tonight I'll watch Strong and American Grit, both of which will make me sorry I skipped a workout.

I sure liked the Pilates machine Q showed last night. Pretty colors!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hey all, it was a drizzly day here but I got  a  dog walk in and also 15 miles on the Xbike.  Bodygym too.

Laura I love the PJ's, and robe getting down in the kitchen....best kind of fun!

It's raining pretty hard now...we did just come in from a short walk with Logan in the rain mind you!  He won't listen, I need the Dog Whisperer.

Can't believe it's Friday tomorrow, the week flew by.

Dad is still doing good at home,,,right back to his old self and to think they wanted us to put him in assisted living.   He would have gone right downhill .....we as a family made the right decision at this time for him.

Tomorrow is only in the 40's and 20's at night.  Can you believe it< in May!!

Had my 1st hummingbird today too.  last year was the 9th.  I keep a log of when they come.   Oriole yesterday too.

Well watching some baseball now and  going to get into my jammies.

Enjoy your evening!

Bopper, I'm so happy to hear that your dad is doing so much better.  You must be so relieved.  I hope you all can relax a bit and simply enjoy each other's company.  Hugs.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

@bopper  Also glad your father is back to his old self.  Wonderful news!  Heart

@nomless  I was gifted Target's Threshold sheets last year for my birthday.  They have held up very well and my mother and sisters are little Martha Stewarts so they are pretty picky about their house goods.  They rave about them so it's a good pick.
