Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Thanks for the things up about Threshold sheets, Laura.  I'll wash them and get them on the bed today.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Good Morning!

@bopper so glad to hear your dad is doing so well.

Sounds like everyone is getting their workouts in which is great.  I did something to my foot/ankle last night so am staying home today to rest it and put ice/heat on it.  My sister and I are going to a wildlife sanctuary tomorrow and I am not missing that for anything so need to get this foot feeling better as there will be lots of walking.

Might have to check out those Target sheets.  Thanks for the recommendation.  Hope I like the ones I bought from the Q.  Need to rein in my spending to save for my trip in the Fall - why is it when I decide to do that, I see all sorts of cute stuff?!  LOL

Hope everyone has a good Friday!

Hi everyone! I haven'ted posted much but have been exercising every day - just busy at work!

Judy, good luck with your ankle. They can be stubborn to heal - I hope yours is not. Wildlife sanctuaries are wonderful.

Bopper, it sounds like your Dad is doing better. Good news!

Best to all - keep active everyone!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Happy Friday, it's cloudy and gloomy and cool here but I did a power walk this morning and will take Logan to the trail.

Nomless I hope you like the sheets.  Now what are the Threshhold sheets, are they from Target?  I love crisp sheets also.  I should have gotten the TSV a couple days ago.

Laura and Judy and Pilates thank you regarding dad, he's doing so much better at home.  We still call him several times a day and my sisters who work across the street at the hospital pop in to see him too along with my hubby.

Judy I hope your ankle is ok to walk at the sanctuary.  Sounds like a lovely walking area.

Pilates good to see your staying right on track!  It's always a work in progress!

Anyone getting the cute Skechers?  I'd love to but didn't.

Going to my GDs first softball game tonight.  It's about 45 miles away but I hope it's warmer away from the lake.  It's chilly.

Enjoy your Friday everyone!

@bopper  Threshold I think is a brand name at Target.  It may be the store brand.  My family loves their sheets and I got a set about a year ago.  They are very nice.  I want to say my sister also liked a brand at BB&B but they were very expensive which is why my sister likes them.  She's all about quality and she'll pay for it.  I don't think the Target sheets are too bad and I expect you can usually hit a sale especially with Memorial Day coming up.

I was looking over the Skechers because I want a cute no lace sneaker but I am so hard with shoes that I have to fit in person before I'll take a chance.  I've only bought Vionics sight unseen and I've been very lucky with them so far.

@JudyL  Feel better!  I wish I could go with you tomorrow. I love the animals!  You'll have to post all about it.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Judy, I hope your foot feels better by tomorrow.

Hi, Pilates, good to see you.

Bopper, yes, the Threshold sheets are from Target.  I'm trying the percale version which I hope will retain their crispness. It took me a long time to realize I don't like sheets that are described as soft.  Don't feel bad about passing on the TSV....the Target sheets are less expensive (especially if you wait for a sale), available any time, and probably are more to your liking anyway.

I did a long cardio session today plus weighs.  I might do a little more later this afternoon....or not, lol.

Happy Friday and weekend to all.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my ankle.   I can't figure out what the heck happened.  I wasn't working out or anything, it just started hurting.  It almost feels like its a pinched nerve cuz the foot feels a bit tingly but man it sure has a sharp ache/pain all over.   Feels like it wants to crack but it won't.  Last night the pain got so bad I was shivering in bed - with the covers on!  At least its not as bad as it was last night.  Did do ice and heat and Advil this morning and about to do that again.

I've just been laying around all day.  Watching the Q or reading.  Can't believe I'm about to say this but I kinda miss working out.  Thought I'd try and do some upper body tonight with the BG but will have to see cuz you have to put the stirrup things around your feet and not sure how my foot will take that.

I will post about the wildlife sanctuary.  Been looking forward to this for the past few months.  They only have open house a few times a year.  It about 2 hours from where I live in the "Valley" as its called so could be quite warm.

@bopper so glad to hear y our dad is doing so well.

Everyone else keep up the good work with the exercising!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Happy Saturday Morning, we're only 34 and it's snowing!  YES, is said the "S" word, not happy about it, but it's not a tornado or a flood or anything worse...we can handle it!

Watching Beauty day, I should turn it off, get too tempted and I already am waiting on JM Tanning butter shipping on the 25th of May, so have to remember I have that coming, then Fashion day on Monday....and I have my sons wedding I have to buy things for so keeping it all in perspective.

Nomless and Laura thank you about the Target sheets.  I'll keep an eye out for them.  My fleece sheets are staying on until I am sure we are out of Winter!   We never have Spring it seems here, goes from this to 90, hard to adjust.

I'm just having my coffee, hubby is working so I have no need to rush to do anything.

Judy I sure hope your ankle gets better, that's weird.   Have fun at the wildlife sanctuary, and just walk slow!

Oh gee it's up to 36  Hahaha.............  think I"ll sun bathe!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Beauty day? Whoa thanks for the warning, I am not going any closer to the Q than the message boards today! I really have to pinch pennies until my hospital deductible is paid off.

Judy, your ankle sounds simply awful. I wonder if you have a sprain? Last year I sprained my ankle getting up out of a chair! Simple as that and bomp, in an air cast for six weeks.  It got all swollen and purple and hurt so bad. Do you have any swelling, discoloration?

Yesterday I enjoyed a great power walk and also some Yin yoga in the evening.  I am back from my Saturday WW meeting (gained, sigh) and now am off to clean the bathroom, hang some towels out and hit the gym for cardio and weights.

Best to all!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

I don;' know about you @bopper but I've been sorely tempted today by the beauty deals.  Still safe though!

I took myself to the park and walked my trails.  Did the meadow side today which is a tiny bit shorter but it was nice to do something different.  It's very windy here.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!  Rock on!
