Lucy, I admire your DH and am grateful for people like him who dedicate their careers to out country. Nonetheless, it's great that he's retiring. He's earned the opportunity to be just a guy, instead of a service guy. I hope benefits, etc., work well in his favor. It will be interesting to see what he chooses to do next. I hope DIL enjoys her Italy trip
Bopper, I had a Body Blade for awhile, but never learned how top use it well. I hope you enjoy it.
Mick, me going on that grout. I'm sure that counts as a workout, lol
Hi, Foxxie. Enjoy your day.
The arch support kept my foot hurting yesterday. It's crazy how many foot issues I've had with this job. Looking forward to my 3days off. 😁

I'm not going to sugar coat it....I'm having a lazy day. A little housework and Net surfing. That's it.
@nomless, is it routine walking that makes your feet hurt on the job? Maybe an orthotic (sp?) would help.
@Iluvlucy, my son just retired March 1st from the Navy and just started a civil job. Twenty years, that's all he could take, lol. I wish his twin had stayed the course as well.
Speaking of Body Blade, I think my husband ordered one a couple of years ago. I'll have to check.
I've had all sorts of trouble signing in since I posted yesterday. I see that others did, too. Hope it's fixed....very annoying to keep trying and can't get in.

Happy Saturday, this morning I did 60 minutes on the Reformer 30 rebounding and 30 toning, then did the S6 from Bodyblade ( love this thing) then did 25 minutes of Yoga I found one on Netflix..
It's sleeting here and very dreary and dark...ick....
Hubby just got home from work, he wants to watch all this BB on TV. I want Hallmark Haha.
Nomless my feet hurt most of the time too, arches and big toe joints, hard to even do the yoga poses as I can't go on tippy toes because they have to bend at the joint. I don't have bad or flat arches either. Just do what I can and modify.
foxxie lazy days are allowed. I didn't have trouble signing in thank goodness, although our internet has been in and out lately. Thank your son for his service too.
Lucy I hope your weekend is going good, our weather is dreary. Enjoy dinner tonight and hopefully DIL got to her room safely . Any Eagles today?
Well better get on to the next thing, have a good day!

Did 2.5 mi/33 min on the treadmill.
Did grout yesterday for 3 hours....foyer is done....I'm either going to do that again or pack up my son's stuff to be donated....DH won't help with garage sales so we write donations off....and donate to the vets...so it all works out!
@Iluvlucy I live in San Clemente 4 miles from the ocean. Camp Pendleton is just a few miles south of us. It is a beautiful day today.....sunny and 70...we're supposed to get a little rain.
Happy Saturday everyone!

Foxxie and Bopper, it's the job that's messing up my feet....the amount of time on my feet and all the squats. Never had a problem until now...except for plantar fasciitis a couple of years ago. At least I'm figuring out some things that help. I do have orthotics, but they're too hard and cause issues, too. Love my Alegrias for support, but they, too, are too hard for this job. Crazy.

Sunday Funday! It's snowing here, we're going to head out now in the dark because it's supposed to turn to rain again. It was pouring when we came out of the restaurant last night and I had my black suede otk boots on and stepped in a huge puddle...ugh! Had a lovely evening though, great food and company...perfection.
Mmsfoxxie...I had some Key Lime Pie, thought of you...not carrot cake but it was good. Nothing wrong with a day off here and there.
MickD...we never lived there...we've lived in the San Francisco area and the San Diego area so I must have just been thinking CA in general...lol. I donate our stuff ot the vets too.
bopper(and everyone)...I am recommending a couple of books from Amazon to anyone that will listen. I also told Terri about my Women's Health BIG BOOK OF YOGA(ordered PILATES too)...everything you need from the poses, what they're called, what they are good for, when you should do them, alternatives, etc. Money well spent, I would have paid more. I do the morning sequence and evening sequence everyday...then try and work on a difficult pose. I can now do "standing hand big toe" pose with both legs.
nomless...thank-you, it's a tough career with a lot of sacrifices for both the member and their families. I can't wear those hard orthotics either...awful. I paid a lot of money for a pair and threw them out. I wear the Dr. Scholl's then put the soft cushion insert on top of them. I still have pain but that's the least of my problems these days...lol.
We did a circuit work-out yesterday that covered every type of exercise imaginable...jump-rope, weights, pilates, CrossFit, yoga, Bosu, rowing, Barre, sprinting, etc. Did 3 minutes of each exercise then moved onto the next and did rounds...we really liked it and even DH said it was beast-mode.
Okay....time to hit the pavement!

Hello, everyone. Happy Sunday!
@Iluvlucy, I'm wondering if you're overusing feet?? You are a busy Girl. Oh, I wish I could do that much activity.
Although yoga doesn't seem to agree with me, I'd love to find some poses that don't make me nauseous so I'm gonna run over to Amazon to examine that yoga book you mentioned. If nothing else, it sounds like a nice coffee table book.
Key lime pie...I love that, too, lol.
Enjoy your beautiful Sunday everyone.

Good Sunday Morning everyone, it's a snowy cold one here. Last night he said we would be waking up to sun WRONG!
Not sure what the day holds, hubby has to do some measuring at a ladies house about 45 minutes away so I may go with and eat at the Lodge in that location, then I know he wants to watch more BB, especially the Michigan State game later today.
Lucy thank you for recommending those 2 books, I ordered them from Amazon already this morning. My Psoas is really bothering me and hip flexors and the books sound from their description to be very informative. I also need the inserts for my shoes, actually need shoes! Good job on the workout, you did everything yesterday. Hope your boots weren't ruined.
Nomless I hope your feet feel better. Do you work on Sundays?
MickD keep up the good work and the consistency! I'm waiting for the trail to get bare again, it's really icy and bumpy.
Foxxie what are you doing today?
Laura, Cater, SanFran, and those lurking today, stop on over and say "Hey"....
Have a great day!

Goog morning everyone. Boy did it storm last night! It woke me up around 3 am. Luckily it was only a couple of hours but it's supposed to resume this afternoon.
Today, hubby and I go to see the nutritionist and I hope she gives good advice on what and how much he can eat. We both get bored eating healthy food it seems but whereas I can eat healthy for months once I get on track, hubby only lasts a few weeks. I hope the nutritionist will make him understand the gravity of having diabetes.
@Iluvlucy, I ordered the book on yoga. I gave it a good look on Amazon and it showed and explained the poses, so I ordered it for my coffee table if nothing else.
Yesterday, I had a run in with a known snarky poster. Hate when that happens, lol. It's only happened to that extent once before. She started the snark and when I responded in kind, she reported it. Her M.O. From what I've heard. I told her never to respond to any post I write ever again. The moderators deleted the post. I believe in not only being nice to everyone on here but also ignoring a lot of things. But I believe that sometimes people see your easy demeanor as a target to release their anger (for whatever) assuming they will get no retaliation. She pushed me and I decided to push back. Enough of that, lol.
I'll probably do some inhouse exercising this afternoon when we get back home. It'll be a light day.

Hey everyone, It's Monday again. Our weather was sure wrong, she said this morning clouds would move out and it would be a lovely day. Well it's super cloudy, the wind is cold and it looks like rain. We're at 41 but it feels colder. Anyway I'm sure nobody is interested in my weather report ![]()
I did 60 minutes on the Reformer, 30 toning, 30 rebounding, and then about 45 minutes of Yoga trying to release my hips and lower back. Will do a dog walk in a bit.
Foxxie I have the book coming too, I ordered both, they sounded like they had good info and illustrations, thanks Lucy
Foxxie I hope you get some good insight for hubby from your nutritionist. Sorry about the other poster, some people thrive it seems on being rude or snotty. Not what you need or anyone and certainly better to take the high road but I understand sometimes you just have to speak your mind too. I hope this poster doesn't bother you again. Stay here, we're all nice here, family ![]()
Lucy how's your day going? My books should arrive I hope by Friday.
Has anyone used a Fascia Blaster? Just curious, I keep seeing things pop up on my FB page and I sure could use something to break up all this gunk in my hips, they are so tight.
Anyone watch Dancing with the Stars? That starts tonight, a couple Olympic ladies competing this round. Its on opposite The Voice though and hubby and I watch that.
Well better finish lunch and take this out for his walk. Enjoy the day!
