Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Thread

Hi everyone, did my Ride class this morning even though I just wanted to sleep.  Had a horrible night and finally had to break down and take another ibuprofen.  It was kicking in just as I had to get up.  I'm so over this.

@bopper  It's funny you mentioned that.  I think that's my next step because benadryl usually knocks me out completely.  I've never had back problems go on this long before.

@nomless  Thanks for the well wishes.  Your weather sounded beautiful.  It was foggy and rained here but I still got my hike in.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and has a great start to the week.  Smiley Happy

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Thread

Good Monday Morning everyone!  It's windy, and cold here so I chose to stay inside with the workout.  Did 15 miles on my Proform Xbike, and then 30 minutes with the BodyGym lower body 2 sets of 15 and 100 glides on the Leg Magic and will add in more throughout the day.  Now sitting and going to shower and vacuum.

Hope you all enjoyed your Easter!  We had a nice brunch here with my son and his family and my 88 year old father and our new baby granddaughter.  So I have 2 granddaughters now!

Laura please try the Benedryl, it really helps me..I asked my dr. if it was safe and got the A-OK.   Good job on your bike ride today!  It was a moring that you feel like staying in bed, here too but I got up and got it done!

Nomless I hope your Monday is starting off well and not too stressful at work.

Iluvlucy I hope your move is moving along alright and DS and DH are doing OK.  Must be busy times with the new job and trying to set up a new home!

SeaMaiden hi and waving to you

Tony I know your MIA but I know your doing something too!

Anyone the Lay 'n  Go...I need something for my "stuff".. looks good although I see it's now sold out.  But they have it on Amzon too.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Thread

Hi, all.  I did Piyo Sweat today.  Lots of balance work, plank work and leg work. Stretching, too.  Charlene s a pleasant trainer.  I don't mind listed in to her.

Bopper, I don't know the product you mentioned.

Laura, well, dang, I'm sorry you had a bad night.  I hope tonight is better.

I was going to go to Trader Joe's this afternoon but I didn't have time.  I'll go tomorrow, I hope.  I want to try their pre-cooked brown rice. Yum - it sounds good.

Chris Freytag is on Evine selling an Xbike that converts from upright to recumbent positions. Hmmmm..interesting.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Thread

I shouldn't post today because I completely blew off my short Ride class this morning.  I woke up at 1am even with taking Benadryl.  By 4am, I couldn't take being uncomfortable and restless anymore and had a moment.  I felt I shouldn't walk into the gym crying.  That's more of an as you leave kind of thing.

I have decided to stop all of the medicine.  It doesn't get me through the night and I am just damaging my health further by taking it for so long.  I have no idea what to do other than hope it resolves at some point on its own.

I will still be cheerleading you guys as you are able to get your workouts in.  And I'll keep my walking at the park going.  Sorry to start off the day with a bad post.  At least I have bopper's beautiful pics to look at and make me smile today and I am very grateful for that.  Smiley Happy

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Thread

Good Tuesday morning to you all,  It's sunny here and in the 30's so I went grocery shopping today because tomorrow it's supposed to rain....came home and put it all away and did the Bodygym 2 sets of 15 reps and 100 glides on the Leg magic machine..Will walk with Logan after lunch...have to be outside today, the rest of the week will be rain/ snow mixed and lows in the 10's........  burrrrrrrrrr

Nomless that product is a organizer like drawstring oversized pouch.  I thought I could get all my makeup off the bathroom counter and put it all in there and then just pull the cords and it's inside.  I just don't have room for containers in my bathroom but that I can grab and put it in my bedroom when I'm done.  Just don't feel like grabbing a container,,I know sounds dumb LOL

Laura I'm so sorry you are having pain and not getting much rest.  I have to agree on the medicine ( and some will disagree) but try it without...when you aren't getting rest and your used to it your body is so sluggish and the pain certainly doesn't help.  Are you still using the Lo bak?

Almost out of March, March will go out like a Lion here but better things are to come!

Be blessed everyone!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Thread

@Laura14, I'm so sorry you're having such a difficult time.  It's been going on quote some time and I feel for you.  Sending hugs your way.  Maybe you should think about seeing a spine doc????

Hi, Bopper, re: the storage pouch, I think I know what you're talking about.  It sounds like a good solution for you.  It's frustrating to not have a place to store things.  Love the flowers you posted today.

I just did a Sansone Miracle Mile DVD.  Nice.  It did get my HR up.  I love the band that comes with that kit.  It has lots of stations where you can put your hands to adjust resistance.  Very easy to hold on to.  I did a bunch of chest presses and flies.  It felt good.

Now will go fix dinner....Brown rice, veg and beans.  I feel like I need some good carbs and protein.

I hope you have a better noght, Laura.  Hang in there.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Thread

Happy Hump Day everyone!  It's cloudy and drizzling here and changing to snow so boooo on that!

I did 15 miles on the Xbike and did lower body on the BodyGym, and 100 leg glides on the Leg magic....Not sure about a dog walk in the weather we have now.

Laura we're all cheering you on!  Keep your chin up girl, this too shall pass!

Nomless good workout.   Glad to know that band is cool!  Your dinner sounds good too! I"m looking for alternate protein options.  I think I"m lactose intolerant.  And here I bought 2 big tubs of Greek yogurt yesterday.  Do you know if there is a yogurt that is lactose free?  Guess I"ll be eating nuts, turkey sausage, and chicken!

Need to get in the shower now, you all have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Thread

Hi, Laura.  Hugs.

Hi, Bopper.  I have a problem with lactose, too.  Even lactose free milk bothers me. I don't know if there's a lactose free yogurt.  Love the birds yo posted!

I did treadmill and bike today.  They've moved about a dozen single-station weight machines to the workout room.  All kinds of things to try.  It's easy to adjust the weight, and each machine has pictures showing how to use it. Maybe this weekend I can give them a try.  I want to do it when no one else is there!  I hope they work well.
