Hi all! I'm sore today...yay!
Laura...where at in Iowa, if you don't mind saying on here? I'm from the Midwest, lived right across the river from Iowa so we did all our main shopping over there, my grandparents lived there, parents and myself worked there, etc.
nomless...I think I'm going ot order the Hello Fresh, we really enjoyed the ones the kids bought us. Loved the recipes and it really made me step out of my comfort box. .
bopper...that exercise you're talking about with the medicine ball can be really hard on your shoulder, since you said it's bothering you. I had to do something else in CF when my shoulder was really bothering me. Praying for your dad.
Doing either Cathe Friedrich HIIT or 22 Minute Hard Corps this morning and legs...not sure what else the day will hold. The bottoms of my feet are bruised from my Pilates machine! I did my hams and butt exercises on the balls of my feet(barefoot) which bruised them, then did over 15 miles on foot yesterday amongst other things which didn't help them any.
Not sure what to think of Lucy...up and down. It's stressing us out, I know that.
Anyway, have a great day everyone.

It is an overcast day, but there are times we must make our own sunshine.
I completed the One Mile of Leslie's Miracle Mile. It was 15 minutes including warm up. I went from heart rate of 65 to one of 98, but recovered to the upper 60s in about 5 minutes after I completed the mile. I will try to repeat it again this evening to make it a total of 30 minutes of exercise. I check this only because I had to have a cardiac ablation last year, after which I quit exercising much.
For the first time, I felt better after the mile so I plan to do it again this evening. That will give me 30 minutes total and then if I feel good tomorrow, I will try to continue that. Baby steps!!
The quesadilla sounded so good. I'm getting back into doing more cooking, which is not a pleasure for just one person.

Konakat, you're smart to take it slow and easy. Good job doing a mile with Leslie.
Hi, Laura, happy Sunday.
Lucy, I hope Lucy has a good day. Does she still want to go out with you on your runs? Do you carry her? I like the idea of Hello, Fresh a lot but shipping the ingredients makes the cost higher than I like. I don't mind shopping so Emeals interests me, but I'm still on the fence.
I did cardio today. Not much going on here.

Nomless--I just checked out that emeals. Not bad especially for one. If each meal is two servings then the leftover dinner meal could be lunch. I need to get back into cooking, and the menus, etc. would be a great help. On the other hand, I don't know that I would like to cook or prepare some of the entrees. Online searches would likely provide similar info as that provided by emeals.

Agreed, KonaKat. It's cool that they offer plans for 1-2 or 3-6.

Oh my word Laura! I just had a feeling you were going to say Duqubuqe. That's where my grandparents lived, my mom worked at Finley Hospital there, my dad worked at Dubuque Packing Co and John Deere, etc. Know it very well! I have friends that would let you stay at their place if you need to save some money. ![]()
nomless, groceries are so expensive here, Hello Fresh may actually save us money! I'm not kidding either...I've noticed about $30 to $40 more each big shopping spree.
KonaKat...my gf that just started working out does the LS dvd's once in a while.
Lucy's glands are swollen again today. I'm so tired of this, they better figure something out.
We had such a nice day yesterday, went out to eat at a Irish Pub...then I had a reaction to something. So I'm thinking I may not be able to eat out anymore, even if I'm very careful with what I order. Remember I'm still on steroids too...and still reacting. I can't get into Johns Hopkins until Sep 14th...ugh...still have over two months and already been waiting. And like my gf said, it isn't like theyr'e going to figure anything out that day, could take at least another month from then with tests and such.
Not sure what my work-out is going to be today...need to get going though as I don't know what time they'll have me come into the vet. I'm guessing we'll be sent to a specialist. Wondering if I should reschedule our vacation dates...they won't let me cancel.

@Iluvlucy Get out! Well, I will tell the town of Dubuque hello for you. I think it's a lovely place with wonderful people. I keep telling everyone as soon as I get fired, I'm moving there. I'm still figuring out how I am going to get myself to the airport on Thursday morning without a car but I'll get there. And I say go on your vacation if you can and will enjoy it. Everyone needs some down time.
@KonaKat I'm one person too and I just cook in batches and then reheat during the week for lunch and/or dinner. It's very helpful especially coming home from work and you can just throw an easy plate together. Very helpful now especially without the car.
I would like to announce I dodged ZERO sprinklers on my way in today. I was lazy so I left later than normal. I left markings for the Nazi when I went over the weekend to CVS. Maybe he got the message and won't mess with me anymore. ![]()
Unfortunately, I also noticed my lawn needs to be cut so I'll have to do that in the next three days. I should have done it yesterday but I was too busy being a bum. ![]()
Hope everyone is off to a great week! ![]()

Okay, here is your funny to start your week just because I'm your self appointed jester. Think of me when you're ready to pass out from cardio or pushups.
Figured out the airport transportation for Thursday. I am probably the only person ever who will be taking a limo actually probably town car from my house to the airport to fly to Dubuque, Iowa. ![]()
The guy asked me where my flight was coming from for the pick up. Luckily, Georgia has no place to talk when I said Iowa but somehow I feel LA or NYC should have come tripping off my tongue instead.
My mother's husband recommended the car service and he's normally flying to Hawaii or China. What a let down I must be for them. I'm sure I made their lunch hour.
I don't care! I will be hiking by the Mississippi River come Friday! And I will have a rental car. Look out world! I wonder if I'll remember how to drive?
So, I'm thinking I need a regal outfit to fly to Dubuque just to not make the limo guy look bad. I'm also testing my impressive fake career options. Corn heiress or oil magnate? Hey, do I know how to slice lemons from the misery that has been car life lately or what?

Hi everyone! Thought I would check in quickly and say hello. I'm doing ok. Still am not doing any workouts. Was doing great, feeling good, thinking "oh yea! I can now start exercising again!" and BAM! my hip and back acted up big time this weekend. So lots of stretching, etc. Maybe in a few days I can try a walk around my complex. Ugh.
@ilovelucy - hope your fur baby is feeling better soon and the docs can figure out what's going on.
@laura - enjoy your trip and feel like a queen while you ride in your town car!
Bopper and Nomless - you both are doing great with your workouts! Keep it up!
Seven weeks, two days until I'm flying the skies with United on my way to Ireland! Wahooo!
Take care all and I'll check in soon!
