Well, I wouldn't even know where to start about my weekend. No one would believe all of it and I am not even willing to type that book, the short-version will be bad enough
Started off with a miserable house-hunting trip to DC area...while there we find out my son is having ER surgery....realtors car dies after I say we have to "go now" so we're trying to jump it when we should be on the road to northern PA....terrible fog on the drive to the hospital from DC....no clothes, toothbrushes, dog food, nothing....driving home yesterday we break down on the freeway and I can not even begin to tell you that entire story. Took tow-truck almost 4 hours to get to us, remember I am hopped up on steroids, it was a nightmare. Oh, we don't have coats and it was 10* and car smelled like gas so bad, you couldn't breath.
We are darn fortunate to even be here, the gas smell and smoke were so bad, even the Sterling BMW dealership said it was bad, we just got it out of the shop for the same thing 2 weeks ago and they said they didn't do what they should have. I can't even tell you what I was like with the manager there....I told him he better get the CEO of BMW North America on the horn right now because I'm not taking this vehicle back.
And it looks like we're not. It's paid for so they will either give us a full-refund or they are going to deal with us, no cost to us of course. I told them I was not in the mood to waste 5 more minutes of my time to look at a new car to pick out plus they have some obstacles to jump through to do that but I couldn't even discuss it. I just wanted to get home. They said to take the loaner and keep it as long as it takes us to decide what we want.
My son is sick, we are in the middle of a move, we have a Change of Command we're planning and I have 200 people to feed next month and no food, I'm having medical tests, dh is having medical tests, we are taking my van that Toyota wrecked while in for repairs, in for those repairs this week so we'll have 2 loaners, dealing with a new vehicle now, dh is traveling again next week, a gas leak at our house....I'm teetering on the edge!!! LOL! Can not make this stuff up!!!! I havne't even set-up our pack-out!
Yeah, that's the short version....yesterday alone would have been a book!
DS is okay, they did a lot of cauterizing so his esophogus and stomach are quite sore...he's full of ulcers so they took a bunch of biopsies, among other things, checking for Crohn's instead of UC now. Oh, and his wife was out of town for a soccer tournament so he was going into surgery(they called in his GI team) by himself. I was beside myself, no other way to put it.
