Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Laura, good job!  Even though you hated it, lol.  My BG has shipped, too.

Patty, I'm sorry you're having a tough time.  Lots of good wishes for you.

Bopper, stay warm!

Cardio done. Boy, I can sure tell that the time I took off has taken me backward. Everything is harder.  Oh, well, I just need to keep on keepin' on, and not beat myself up over it.  Oh....Patty, my foot was OK, but it's already starting to hurt a bit again, but it's not bad.  Glad you like your new shoes.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Happy Belated New Year to everyone. Looks like everyone is getting in the mood to do the right body wellness. Bopper I feel so bad for you and family with the lost pet. I still am hoping someone has it and will put a notice out that they have it so that it gets to come home again. Patty, Patty just wondering how much that your body can take. You have something going on every where you turn. I'm thinking all this is just working on your last nerve, worrying about everyone and every thing. I see your precious son is having more issues i don't know him of coarse but I sure do admire how he handles this and just keeps going and never gives up. My one relative is a decone in our church I have asked him to light candles for your son and you also. New Year started really bad here we all had colds and coughing  from before Christmas mine was bad enough then my sister started to just chill and cough like crazy. Well she got so bad that she couldn't breathe and  to make a real long story short she ended up in the hospital and was told she had no idea just how sick she was. She got to come home today with a fist full of prescription's and hand full of orders she has to follow. She has us all saying prayers. Ok enough of my novel for today Patty hope this move will be up here closer to the kids. My one and only move will be after 54 years here is when they plant me and I know they will have a UHAUL truck following the hearse with all my worldly treasures that I never wanted to get rid of. Nomless hope the job out look is better for you. Take care everyone prayers for all you.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hi cater...thanks for stopping by.  Gosh, did your sister have pneumonia?  The same thing happened to my gf, she was sick as a dog, I think she would have died had she not gone back in.  That same stuff is going around here, everyone I know has had the cold.  I can't believe I haven't caught it yet, even dh got it and he never getst sick.  Hope you all are on the mend!  I'm tired of moving...lot of work and stress.

I see the specialists(Dermatologist and Rheumatologist) this afternoon.  I sure could use some relief, I'm not holding my breath though.  The doc called yesterday and told me to take some steroids at night in addition to my morning dose to get by...hate steroids but what can I do.

It was 54* in here this morning when we got up and I still had hot flashes all night long. We didn't have much accumulation yesterday but Lucy had fun snorting what did stick...lol....she loves it.

Anyway, steroids, Advil, and caffeine have kicked in so going to head out.  I did some squats this morning that the PT had us do during the strength part of the SPIN class(on your tippy toes) and it hurt the bone in my foot so we'll see how this goes.  Can't win lately!

Waving to all.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Cater, it's nice to hear from you.  I'm sorry to hear that you and others have been under the weather.  I hope you and sis and others are on the mend.  Thanks for your good wishes.

Patty, lots of good wishes for your doc appts today.   I'm sorry you're stressed in so many ways.  It takes its toll.

I won't have time for a workout today, have a couple of appts this morning.

I ended up taking a sick day off work yesterday....my workout felt super hard, and as the morning went on I felt worse and worse.  I went to work, told them I wasn't feeling well and might have to leave early, and they said they'd rather I just go home instead of putting others at risk (nice to hear an employer say that).  I came home and slept for a few hours.  Then as I was making something to eat, I realized I hadn't eaten all day.  I simply forgot to eat. That might explain why my workout felt so hard.  Because my schedule is so goofy with no set routine, my eating has been sporadic lately. I really need to get a handle on it and make sure I eat at regular intervals like I used to.  I'm very happy that I feel OK today.  Will go eat some protein right now!

I hope everyone is feeling better and taking care of themselves and getting well soon. Heart

Wednesday is my day off from the gym but I am sure work will send my heart racing in a bad way soon enough and the lottery win I am planning tonight will do it in a good way so I think I'm okay for 24 hours.  Smiley Wink

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Happy Wednesday everyone,  I went grocery shopping and a few other errands today...Nothing major...just took Logan to the trail.  I packed it down good with the snow shoes so only needed my boots to walk him.  Boy he can be a handful, he's sometimes like a hound on a rabbit barking all along the trail, he smelled something for sure.   I leash him when he's like that.  Don't want to lose him although when I even hide behind a tree he comes back for me but there's always the "what if"  and I don't want to go there.  Not after my son and his finance lost their little dog and no sightings even...God Bless Him.  They have gotten a new puppy since then but they do continue to look for him.   Their puppy is so cute, he's 8 weeks and part Maltese and part Shih tzu and he's learning to go potty outside.  This is all new for my son, he bought a dog training book, he's bringing him to the vet, he's like a new "parent"  hahaha  heaven forbid when he has a child!  Hahha...He's nervous Nellie, who would have thought  Hahaha

Nomless my Bodygym is coming today.  I told my sister and she said to open it up and give it a try...I'm anxious to see it.   She's starting to sound like she thinks she won't use it.....I hope she does though..but if not I"m not going to push her, I'll use it!

nomless I hope you feel better, your probably right with not eating.   I certainly wouldn't feel good not eating for hours on end and then trying to workout.  You have lots on your plate.

Patty good luck today, I hope they can help you...keeping my fingers crossed.

Caters so good to hear from you...so kind of you to have your church praying for Patty's DS....I continue to pray for him as well.!  Can never have to many prayers.

Laura winning the lottery, wouldn't that be "something"?   I'm sure we'll all hear you scream! hahah

Have a wonderful day everyone

Be Well, Be Blessed and Be Thankful

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

I did my double of spin class and Power this morning.  My legs hurt again and the teacher said we all gave her dirty looks after the lunge track.  She was right.  Smiley Very Happy

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hi, AsianGal, welcome!  Congratulations on your new positive attitude.  Yes, you CAN do it.  We'll encourage you in any way we can.

Yay, Laura, you did your double class.  Whew, what a workout!

I did my cardio, and it felt like my normal level of difficulty.  The other day, when I said my normal amount of work felt very difficult, my HR was very high.  Today, same level of work, and my HR was in the range it usually is in during my workouts.  So something was definitely off the other day, but is back to normal today.  What a relief.  It was kind of scary for moderate effort to be so difficult.

I'm excited about watching Shaun T's BL-type show tonight.

Patty, I hope your appts went OK yesterday.

Bopper, have you tried BG yet?

Hey, Skylark and Tony, where are you?

Hi to all our friends, be they  posters and lurkers.
