Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Hi, Tony, how nice to see you.  What a difference a year makes, eh?  How nice that you have warm temps instead of lots of snow like last year!

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

nomless....I don't think this is the one I was thinking of, but it's all I can find.  You can also find some PF shoes on Amazon.

Beautiful out this morning...36* with a sunny high of 49* today, woo-hoo!  Kids had snow yesterday but it's supposed to warm up for when we're there.  I'm the odd-man out, I'd rather have snow over rain any day.  I'll take this weather though, it's perfect!

Did some running around yesterday(credit union, groceries, Starbuck's, dh picked-up some boots, etc) after work-out so today is pretty free(maybe a vet appt).  He got two pairs of free boots from a sporting store that they have a contract with. Really nice ones too....the hiking boots are KEEN and I can't remember the extreme weather ones....but they look warm!

We're thinking about running the boardwalk this morning then having omelettes along the beach, or hiking/jogging at the state park then breakfast on the bay.  Talked about biking down there but we're a little gun-shy due to the traffic...we've done it before and it's dicey at best.

Hi Tony...good to see you!  Waving to everyone!!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Thanks for the info about the shoes, Patty.  I've never heard of that brand.  Enjoy your day, whatever you decide to do.  I hope DS is managing OK.

I did a long moderate cardio session today.  It felt good.

The sun is out, it's a lovely day.  I went to the grocery store this morning.  Of course, it was crazy busy.  What was I thinking?!   It didn't occur to me that people would be getting food for Christmas....

What are you up to today, Bopper?

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Hi everyone, It's a chilly one here about 22 but it was partly sunny.  I walked Logan on the trail and did some strength here and then DH and I went to town for a couple of things. Our neighbor is painting his kitchen so we brought him paint chips to look at and he wanted my Professional opinion Hahah.  He is a single guy and said he has no idea of what to do.

Hi Tony good to see you, sorry your Ipad keeps shutting off.  Very irritating...65 on Christmas is awesome.   We'll be around 30.   Which for us is awesome hahah

Nomless I hope your foot isn't bothering you.   Glad your settling into the job...You did good with your cardio session too!  Our stores are packed too.

Patty, you weather sounds great...Nice DH can get the boots for free!  What a deal!  When do you head to see the kids?  How is the elbow?

Seems to be getting dark already.  Not long now and the days will start getting longer, hooray!

Hope your all enjoying your day!

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

nomless...since my gf has PF and PM'd me on fb about it, I now get all these ads for PF items...which is how I saw the shoes.  But they also have socks if you haven't already tried them...Amazon sells them and they are much cheaper than the shoes.  Just a thought...you may already have them.

bopper...you wouldn't believe some of the paint colors you see while house-hunting.  Oh my word, I realize it's just paint and you can easily change it, but I really don't want to be bothered given the amount they're asking for these places...let alone we will just rent for now.

Another beautiful, sunny day but I'm paying for being out so much yesterday.  Woke up at 3 with a hefty sinus headache.  We were gone all day yesterday, really had a wonderful time...ran, walked, weights, had breakfast at a restaurant that was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, played tennis(did great until I bent my arm a certain way, and, wowza, there went my elbow again...done deal), went to the mall and got a new lipstick at Sephora, the lake, the beach...just a great day.  We needed it.  Well, other than cutting one of Lucy's nails too short because DH rushed me...I almost cracked him in the noggin' one! Smiley Wink

Not sure what today holds yet.  Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Happy Sunday Funday!

Not much happening here, burning some brush, walked Logan and visited my son for a while.   Football now.

Patty sounds like a great day yesterday!     I believe you when you say some people have a different idea for paint....my neighbor likes bright vivid colors and I chose some neutral ones but said he's the one living there not me so he has to like it.  We'll see what he picks out.

Really have no new news since yesterday, so hoping everyone is enjoying their day!

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

It's Monday folks, our neighborhood is icy and my front porch/steps are really icy.  I almost fell taking Logan out to the backyard.  I really need to get salt that is pet friendly or I"m going to take a digger!

It's 30 and snowing at the moment but most of the ground is all bare still.  Windy out though.

This morning I rode my Proform bike 15 miles and then did Total Gym and also some work with the bands...felt good.

I have everything wrapped and ready to go.   We don't buy a lot for Christmas as most of us can't afford to but just being with family is what is important to us.  Minus my son who is living away now, I miss him terribly but he is starting his life with his love and I couldn't be happier for them.

I see I'm following myself for the 3rd time, haha so won't bore anyone with anything else.

Enjoy your day!

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Hello everyone!  We got back from our son's home last night.  We had a great visit and he's doing really well with his shoulder.  It's a long 5 hour drive but little Daisy is a good traveler.  GD Ava is the sweetest prettiest 9 year old you can imagine.

Weather here is weird in a word. 60's ftomorrow. Kind of creepy walking around in just a hoodie for a jacket.

I wish all of you here the happiest Christmas and all good things in 2016.

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Hi, all.  I missed a couple of days here, have been busy.  The library job has been posted again, but I don't think it's at any of the branches near me.  Still, fingers crossed.

Patty, thanks for the info about the PF socks.  I'll check them out.  Glad you've had some fun.

Skylark, it's good news that DS is doing OK after his surgery. How nice that you were able to spend some time with him.

Bopper,it's too bad you have ice and snow, but I guess it was bound to happen sometime.  Be careful when you're out and about.

Yesterday I didn't have time for a workout.  I intended to do one today, but then I saw the lib job posting so I reworked my resume and went to the lib near me that was open to introduce myself.  I thought that might help me get an interview.

Found out today that we have to work Christmas eve.  We were hoping we'd be off, but no such luck.  Maybe we'll get out early, though....I hope so.

Tomorrow I have an appt in the morning so I won't have time for a workout.  Dang!  Will be glad when things settle down into a predictable routine.
