Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Good Morning friends, it's dark and rainy here and they are saying a Rain Storm is coming, not a snow storm.  Temps are too warm for snow but by Monday they say it could change over.

I'm going over to my dads house to decorate for him this morning.  He only wants a small table top tree, and then I'll just put some things out on his buffet and coffee table, lights around the windows and down his bannister.   I offered to get him a real tree but he said no, as it's too hard to get underneath to water it.

Tonight we have a gathering to attend.  Our friends decorate the outside of their home and do their yard and then have a big get together with friends outside complete with Santa and Mrs. Clause and a wagon for kids to ride on.  The won the Award for best lighting here in town so that's pretty cool!  Just hoping the hard rain holds off for it.

I'm following myself here so will say don't forget to Be Thankful and Pay it forward!

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Hi, Bopper I'm sure you had fun decorating for dad.  I hope he enjoys the little bit of cheer you created for him.  The yard party sounds fun.  I bet that house looks gorgeous.

I did cardio yesterday and today.  I'm happy I got it done.  It's a cold rainy day today, but at least it's rain and not snow.  Icwrote some Christmas cards this morning and got them ready to mail.  I think I'll curl up with a book the rest of the afternoon.  I wish I had some mik on hand.....hot chocolate sounds yummy but I don't have any milk.  Smiley Sad

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Happy Sunday Funday!   It's raining cats and dogs here and very dark.  We're just watching the Lions and the the Packers will be on.  Not much else to do.   I am baking Christmas cookeis for my neighbor who I told you is ill, so waiting for my frosting to set up and I'll wrap up a plate and carry them over.

Yes dad was happy with the decorations.  I went in the basement though and as some of you know with an elderly parent they are pack rats and oh my goodness.....can't even explain how much junk he has, things that are broken even are down there...

My son had his engagement party last night but being we don't live there we couldn't go...I was sad but he's happy and healthy and that's all that matters.  It isn't about me!   (wink, wink)   But he did send me some pictures.

I haven't worked out today and probably won't.  It's OK, just taking a day off..can't walk outside as it's so rainy...but like you said nomless it's not snow!

Patty, sending good wishes for your MRI's this week.  Hoping DS is doing alright and DH is home for a while.  Lucy misses her daddy!   Lots of parties to go to and lots of things to do.  Busy times!

Waving to everyone!

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Good Morning, it's pouring cats and dogs here....another day of steady rain but at least it's not white and we're not shoveling yet....soon I'm sure.

I plan on doing the threadmill today and strength...just having coffee now and watching TV.

I hope everyone has a good week and the sun shines down on all of us one way or another or do like I do and Make your Own Sunshine!

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Hi, Bopper, now nice of you to make festive cookies for your neighbor.  They'll cheer him up.  I know you missed being at your son's party, but you celebrate with him in spirit.  It's nice you're getting rain and not snow.  It's another rainy day here, too.

I started a workout, but then a group of people came in.  Too much commotion so I left. Oh, how I wish I could live in a place with one more room so that I could have an elliptical and treadmill right here.  Sigh.

I did some cleaning this morning, a much neglected chore.  I'll try to do a little each day and get caught up.  Then I hope I can make myself adhere to my regular cleaning schedule.  I'm still trying to figure out what my new routine will be.   Maybe I should try doing my workout first thing, then chores, then job search.  Thinking out loud here.

Have a good day, everyone!

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Good Morning, it was quite the rain storm yesterday and last night.  I was watching The Voice and our power went out so I missed the end...

skylark glad your sons shoulder surgery went well.   I bet he will really like your homemade cookies.   Lots of work, I've been baking for people too.   My son is getting married next November in CO.    I"m also expecting a new grandchild, a little girl in February from my other son and his wife....that will make 2 grandchildren for me.

Nomless hope the gym isn't crowded today for you.  I wouldn't like that either.  I"m glad i can exercise from home...Hope your work day goes well for you.

Patty how is the week going.  Thinking about you and all the stuff you have going on..   Sending positives wishes!

Tony are you still around?   Any snow?

Cater hi and waving to you.....Blessings to you during this Special season!

I have a hair appt. at 1 today so I can get this mop re-touched!

Enjoy the day and Be Thankful

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Skylark, yea that the surgery went well.  Now for the recovery.....ugh.  I hope your son has lots of patience and follows doctor's orders.

Hi, Bopper.  You have lots of fun things ahead in the next year.  Sorry you missed the end of your show.

I went earlier than usual to do my cardio today.  I was the only one there, I hope that holds true the rest of the week.

Thank goodness for libraries - I got a book last week, was 124 pages into it, and decided I didn't like it.  Started another there this morning, not sure I'm going to like this one either. I'm so glad I didn't buy them.

OK, now off do to my other chores.  Wishing everyone a happy day.

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Well, heck, I got involved in doing things early this morning and by the time I got to the workout room, it was too crowded to suit me.  I really need to make myself go over there early.  I'm bummed.

I'll now spend my time doing more cleaning chores.  Will tackle another room.

It's another cloudy day here.  I can't remember when we last saw sunshine. It's been a while.  But no snow, so it's a good day.

Re: Welcome to the December Exercise Thread

Hi, it's dreary here too nomless.   We haven't seen the sun in a long time either.  Think I may break in  my Sunshine Dance!  Hahaha

I did my errands this morning, and then put it all away...Wrote some cards out and now am going to do some bread baking.

Sorry the workout room was crowded again.   I hope you can get there earlier tomorrow.  But your accomplishing lots at home which is also good.

It's drizzling here and very very windy....so I didn't take Logan out either.  He gets so wet and takes him hours to dry off.

I hope everyone is having a nice day, thinking of you Patti and your MRI's and praying everything goes alright for you.

Waving to all!
