Hi, I did my treadmill this morning and some weights and kettle bells. It was so dreary outside I decided to stay in.
Nomless you did good on your outside walk. I prefer outside but some spots are still slick so I did inside today. I did walk Logan outside on the trail though.
Making Cranberry/Orange bread now, the mini loaves to give away.
Not much else going on here, thank you nomless on you comment regarding the funeral. I was very sad...always sad losing a parent...strong family though!
Be Blessed, Be Thankful!

It's Hump Day again! DH flies in late tonight...I'm all messed up on my days this week.
nomless, sounds like you're getting into a routine. bopper, sorry about your funeral...never a pleasant thing.
Yesterday was beautiful and I took full advantage of it. Did a long one on foot yesterday morning, then went for a nice bike ride, walked with Lucy, raked some leaves and cleaned the front porch, jumped-rope, and did some treadmill sprints and weights. I did a pretty fast mile on the treadmill even though I walked the first 2 minutes. The steroids are sure giving me energy, I'll say that much. Monday's was similar.
Think today is going to be a gym day but it's so nice out...think I'll just stop in on my route and do legs. We're in the 30's this morning and supposed to be 64* later!
I think I'm doing a run next week with some CF's...just wish it wasn't in the evening as I'll be up all night, but since the point is to look at lights...well, kind of has to be.
Hoping DH can go with me.
Just doing laundry and chores right now. We have Birthday parties both Friday night and Saturday....still need to get a little something else for one of the gifts so I'll have to run out later and do that. Need a few groceries anyway even though I just went on Monday.

Patty, I so enjoy your posts. I'm glad you're back. And still amazed at all your activity. You go, girl! You enjoy it so, while I need to make myself get up and go.
Yep, Bopper, I am getting a schedule figured out. I have 3 major things to do each morning - workout, job search, errands. I've figured out I have time for 2 of the 3 each day. Job search is a must-do nearly every day. The past 2 days I did job search and workout. Today was job search and errands. A friend who used to live here moved to another state. There's a very nice dept. store here that is not in her new area. Sofor Christmas, I buy her gourmet treats produced by the store. A reminder of her former home. The best thing is they gift wrap and ship for free. Can't beat that.
It's unseasonablyvcwarm here, near 60. Will be the next few days. It's going to rain later, but every day without snow is a good day!

Hello everyone, I was out early this morning running errands and went to see a friend in the hospital, then came home and walked alone and then took Logan. It was sunny when I went but not so much now. It's 43 here so I won't complain about that. I heard a change for the weekend but for us to not have snow on the 9th of December is pretty odd. I LIKE odd hahahha....
Nomless you'll get things down again, your well on your way! Nice to have that store to get your friend things and have them send it off for you. Sure beats running to the Post Office.
Patty glad DH is getting in tonight. Your day sounds pretty full but doing all things you enjoy doing so it's not so bad. Your quite warm too so for sure enjoy getting outside while you can. Thanks regarding the funeral. Another one tomorrow for a very young man who leaves a little boy behind....and very unexpected following a back surgery...He had even left a Secret Santa note saying not to get him anything this year but to buy a child a gift, this was before of course anyone knew he would have a horrible thing happen to him.
Made my dad some Cranberry/Orange bread to add to his gift basket I'm making for him for Christmas. He's very hard to buy for, says he wants something and we get it and he never uses it so a food basket I know he will use!
Enjoy your day everyone!

Happy Friday Eve,,,,,, ( insert wink)
I did my Proform Xbike for 30 minutes on the highest level of resistance and then did the resistance work with the bands...walked Logan on the trail and it started to rain, still drizzling out and its a cold rain/drizzle but at least we got to go 1 time. He has a vet appt. this afternoon for his Rabies shot. He likes car rides but he is pretty high strung in the car....
Since I'm following myself here I don't have much more to say....so I will say
Be Well, Be Blessed, and Be Thankful!

Yes...I guess it is bopper....Happy Friday Eve. nomless, your gift is perfect, I do similar ones. I just ordered my dil's family a really pretty wreath from the Q with fruit on it but order food too. (I hate not being able to see old posts while I'm typing, I already forgot what everyone said...lol!)
Wanted to thank everyone for your prayers...ds was approved for the new med. Which is great news...but nothing in stone yet. Kind of a process.
Still have to see how much we'd have to pay out of pocket...I mean if it's thousands of dollars, you'd eventually go broke so I'm still holding my breath. Also, no guarantee it will work for him. But he was approved quickly and we're thankful for that! Of course, like the nurse said, that's only because he has the disease so bad and has tried every other rung on the ladder. Also now have to worry about the switch....he's done with the Humira(that script is cancelled) so waiting to get it all set up for the new transfusions to start and praying he doesn't flare in the mean-time. Four transfusions the first month...ugh!
Anyway, thank-you ladies!!! cater too! Still a road ahead for them(us) but fist hurdle is down.
I headed out early this morning. Dh flew in last night and we got to bed after midnight, I was so tired, I don't think I was awake the first mile. Then I went and vacuumed at the church which is a work-out in itself. Ran some errands, and am doing uniforms from the trip then I'm going to head back out for a couple of more errands.
Tomorrow night is the Birthday party for the friend that lost another baby. I remember telling you about them last time...they knew when they were carrying her that she wouldn't live. This little guy was the same way, knew he wouldn't make it but had to carry and deliver at full-term. He was so precious....I got to hold him for a while(they invited me to hospital with them) but he had already passed on, only lived about 30 minutes I think. So sad! He was such a little doll, I couldn't stop staring at him and my heart was breaking for the family members.
Anyway...thanks for prayers, I know I'm all over the map, past couple of days have been crazy. Oh! And on top of all this medical stuff, they're talking about moving the job dh is going to to another location! Kind of an important piece of the puzzle since we're supposed to move shortly, especially since we've been looking at homes. This is partly why I shouldn't post, I sound like I'm two shakes of a lamb's tail from the asylum...and I probably am!
Waving!!
‎12-10-2015 02:44 PM
I love that horse picture bopper! And Holy Moly...another volume...lol. I'll stay off for a couple of days
, going to be a crazy weekend anyway. Three parties now...got invited to another one. Haven't said for sure we'll go.

Good morning everyone. Whew, everyone has been so busy. I have to catch up with you all. I've only been doing my usual walks with Angie and sometimes DH. Just a few things left to get for Christmas.
Our son is having shoulder surgery next week. He lives in southern Illinois and we're up here in the Chicago area. DH and I are going down there for most of the week. He's a Conservation Police Officer, lives alone, divorced. We will get to spend time with our youngest GD,too. His daughter, she's 9. We're taking little dog Daisy and DD is keeping Angie for us.
Patty,so happy to read that your son was approved for the treatment. Hope everything continues well for him.
Bopper thanks for the sweet pictures,I loove them. Funerals are always sad but this time of year makes them so much worse.
Nomless,I hope you find something you like soon. But it's a good thing to already have a job when looking for another one. That's what "they" say, anyway.
End of book..lol

Oh, dear, Bopper, another funeral. I'm so sorry.
Patty, yea that DS is approved for the new med. Prayers for the challenges ahead....I sure hope it all goes well. How sad about the baby. The family must be heartbroken. Prayers for them, too. And the move....oh, my, what chaos. It's hard to plan when you don't know what to plan for.
Skylark, prayers that DS's surgery goes well. My, so much stressful news among us.
I haven't heard about the lib. aide job, so when I was at my library yesterday, I asked the
librarian about it. The job wasn't at my preferred location. She thinks the position has been filled and thinks there were about 400 applicants. That low-wage part-time job is in great demand! She didn't have advice for how to make my resume stand out. We had instant rapport and she asked about my background, determining I would also be suited for lib. clerk and lib. specialist positions. I think she would have hired me on the spot if she could have. I'll keep monitoring the job board and will try again when there are openings. She didn't think cover letters get read, so I think I'll add it to my resume document to give it a better chance of being read.
Today is a workout day. Will do some cardio. Then the weekend, a break from my bothersome job. I still don't like it, so I'm back to saying TGIF! Two days ahead when I can ignore it!

Happy Friday everyone, this morning was pretty mild at 43 so I walkd about 4 miles and then took Logan to the trail. He enjoyed his "freedom" while we walked back there, then came in and did some resistance work with my Tony Little bar. I forgot how that little thing works everything just by rolling the bands around the bar tighter. Got a good workout!
Making frosted sugar cookies now for my neighbor who helps us with our driveway when it snows. I jokingly told him he'd get his cookies when we get snow...hahaha but I have them made now. Then ordered the LTS necklace for my neighbor who is going through a rough period right now hoping it helps bring her peace and hope. Many are going through sad times.
Patty how sad about the baby. I remember the other baby they lost, to much to bear for sure. Very happy to hear DS was approved for the new drug, that's one thing down and have to stay positive it works for him and it's going to cost him a small fortune!
Skylark I love my dog walks and especially now not having to wear al the winter gear and boots...It's so not like a typical December, but I love it...especially the driving.
Nomless sounds like the library position was pretty popular. That sounds right up your ally. Hopefully more positions will be posted, I know you'll be right on it. Chin up, something better will come!
Going to dad's tomorrow to decorate for him. I talked to him today and he doesn't want a big tree but he has a table tree I'll put up and then decorate his bannister and buffet. I will bring my extra stuff over. I know he appreciates it.
Enjoy your Friday everyone!
