Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Patty, that trail sounds so fun!! Hope DS feels better soon. I'm glad the ceremony went really well!!! Smiley Happy Bopper, that bear freaks me out! I hope Logan is fast and smart. I'm so overprotective of my dogs, I would be nervous letting him out. Hopefully someone can catch him or figure something out to keep him away, especially since he's destroying things. Nomless, you just keep cracking it at, don't you, girl?!?!?! Tony, I get it about the low census. We had that recently, and now we are busy, but they are all messes of pts........:-0 Keeps me on my toes. I was at the desk today, and was able to cut it short, so I ran a few errands. It's so hot. I was sweating like crazy getting in and out of the car hot/cold/hot/cold so many times. I had to pull my hair up - it was just sticking to me! I did Pilates for a bit yesterday (can feel it in my quads and hip flexors today), and hubby and I ran some sprints in the park right by our house (just a few -- it was 100*!!!), then I did the band for a few exercises. I think I'm going to get on the Pilates machine again, and tomorrow I'll get on the treadmill probably. Cooking a new risotto recipe for dinner. If it's good, I'll share. If not, I'll pretend like it didn't happen. Smiley Wink Hope everyone has a good day!!

I haven't made it in a long time. I hope you turns out yummy and you tell us how to do it. TG done, now will settle in with my book. Want to order something from Q, but the site seems to be messed up. Can't get in to find the item #. Might have to go through CS. Was hoping some reviews would pop up for the thing I'm looking at to see if others are satisfied. Guesss I'll have to rake a chance.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Morning,I couldn't get on the website yesterday for the longest time..well lets say I tried since noon yesterday and couldn't get on....everyone was having issues..I sure hope our infor was not breeched!

Yesterday I did The Firm 500 calorie workout, I thought I had lost it or gave it away but I didn't. Wow, it was a 600 calorie workout for me...they used 5# weights and I tried with my 5's but had to go to 3's for some. My HR was through the roof...it's what I needed though. May mix that up with my KCM workouts...

Today I will do strength and then my GD is coming at 4:30 pm and I have her until 5 pm or later on Thursday so will be busy for me.

Pppmint my GD would say " Light bulb " in regards to the book about Logan and the Bear...she loves to write and read and she could probably write a book about Logan and the bear!

FUTURE glad you got a good workout in. I think we all want to know how the rosotto

nomless sounds like you had trouble too getting here yesterday..they never said what the deal was.

Tony glad you popped yourself in!

Well I better get my workout in,,,have a good one!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hey everyone...happy Hump Day! Lucy has a vet appt this afternoon...ay...makes me nervous...lol. I hope I like them and it's fairly close to the house. Need to get a sticker for my car for some parking spaces I can utilize, credit union, groceries, etc. Another busy day!

Ran her a mile this morning, biked to gym and did an upper body weight work-out until I couldn't feel my arms(did some burpees, mountain-climbers, plank-jacks, etc in between sets...more like a CrossFit work-out)...then biked around the base...around 12 miles. Now taking her for another mile as soon as I catch my breath and refuel.Wink My arms are still shaking!

Have a great day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Bopper, I have that Firm w/o.....I haven't done it in a long time.

Patty, did Lucy do OK at the vet? I hope she's ok.

I had to work late and have work to do tonight, but then I'm off until next Wed, another mini vacation. Yippee!! No workout today, but I'll get one in tomorrow for sure.

Future, how did that risotto them out? Do tell.

I was going to do errands today during lunch, but it was raining hard and streets were flooding, so I skipped them. Naturally, 5 min after my lunch hour was over, it stopped raining. Oh, well. Happy evening to all.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hey, I haven't gotten a workout in and probably won't. My GD has been here since 5 pm yesterday and I may have her until tomorrow.. I mean we are active just not doing something formally. Took Logan to the trail, made a SpongeBob cake, cleaned her room and moved the bed...I mean we've been busy {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

nomless did it quit raining? It was 47 here this morning. It's 70 now and sunny. Glad you are on a vacation again.

Pppmint thinking about you and hoping you can check in....sending prayers for DS....

FUTURE Almost Friday....hoping your long weekend brings you some rest and relaxatin.

Tony waving to you

Okay gotta run to the next project!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi, Bopper, have fun with DGD. She'll keep you on your toes! I had a busy morning....had to go into work for a while to take care of a problem even thoigh I'm on vacation. Then ran errands this afternoon. On my way out to do cardio now. Am very sad about Joan Rivers. I've admired how hard she works.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi, everyone!! Yesterday was a long work day, so I only did the Pilates machine for 15-20 minutes. This morning was spin!! The risotto was awesome!! It's a recipe from Giada -- Lemony Shrimp & Risotto. I always tweak recipes a bit, and to that one I added about 2 Tbsp. of whipping cream, and it was awesome!! Hubby absolutely love it, and with the shrimp and lemon it was light and fresh tasting -- for risotto. Smiley Wink Tmrw we have to move a bunch of stuff around at the office, so not sure how much I'll work out. I'll wait til afterwards. Saturday is spin and weights!! Hope you all have a great Friday -- TGIF!!!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Up in PA again. {#emotions_dlg.sad} He had a rough day and night. Bloodwork should be back tomorrow...want to see if the medication that he is on is active in his body. I don't know, I don't understand it all. If this doesn't work, he's going to start the infusions I guess.

Wears me out.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Oh, Patty, I'm so, so sorry. Prayers for your family.

Future, I'll get Giada's risotto recipe. Yum. Last week I downloaded her recipe for lemon spaghetti. It sounds good, too.
