Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Oh, cater, what a lovely sentiment. Of course, we'll take all the prayers we can get. And nomless is right, we'd love to have you stop in and join us...work-out or not. It's about more than that here.

I'm home with the dogs, just took them for a walk. They were so happy to see me. His wife is up with him now and said they were very out of sorts.

We had quite the night...3am to 4am being the worst bout...ugh. He almost passed out and I was trying my best not to cry. Spare you all the details but it was rough and I was glad I sent his wife home, I think she would have been a wreck. You have to have a good poker face and she does not.

I'm past the tired stage...feel worn-out yet feel wired.

Yes, nomless, dh is just sick that he isn't here...all he cares about is his son right now. Like he said, "He's a big boy and can take care of himself, just wants his son to be okay". He said it's a peace of mind having me here. He asked if he should fly up and I said I think we're good for now but we'll let him know if he needs to be here.

Thanks ladies, I know I'm rambling but what's new?Wink{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Patty, since it is alright with you I am calling them now to get prayers started and going out to mail my requests. I feel so bad for you all. Your son sure has a whole life a head of him and it would be a blessing if he could get a handle on this and it tough on his wife and his Mom and Dad. No parent can rest and relax when their child is ill no matter how old they are. I am here reading what all you ladies are doing and they is no way in gods world could I do anything that you all do. If I even tried to do 3 minutes of any of it, you know how a guy puts two fingers in his mouth and whistles well that is exactly what would happen someone would whistle and yell for a body bag. lol. Try to get some rest so that you don't get ill. don't I just sound like a Mom? Its ok I am old enough to be your Mom.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi, its me. Cater what a nice thing to do for our friend Patty, she sure can use all the prayers and good wishes she can get. We are all praying for her son and her family. Yes I second nomless, please come visit us. You don't have to have a workout, just talk with us. We are very low key and just enjoy visiting.

I did a KCM dvd today called 30 minutes to Fitness Weights, it's a faster paced lighter weight workout. It was good.

nomless good job on your TG....I used that this week for my warmups.

FUTURE thank you for the recipe I want to make it. Hubby doesn't like fennel but this seems different than the kind in a spice jar...

Raining still here,,oh well...

Pppmint continued prayers for DS and your family..know you can come here anytime to lean on us....Hugs..

Have a good evening everyone!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Thanks ladies! Means the world to me!{#emotions_dlg.wub}

DS told them "he needs some sleep and is going home today"...haha...the 'roid rage is kicking in. He's cranky and tired...but I do understand, they wake him up all night long for blood, vitals, meds, plus he's right outside the nurses station and they are so loud!

His dog is upset too and threw up twice last night, so he's worried about him and doesn't need that added stress. He said he just wants his bed and his dog...lol. I get it,he's his mother's son. Lucy won't eat, she's upset too...they sense everything. I'm hoping we can all sleep here tonight and actually get some sleep.

The one doctor said "okay" but now the GI specialist said he has to see him first so I'm not sure why that is. His thyroid tests came back low too and with the quick steroid taper they said he has to see his Endocrinologist this week.

I did some weights this morning and a quick run even though I wasn't going to...I was soooo tired this morning I felt sick and had every intention of not working out. Then I went from that right into the jittery, hyped-up feeling. So took advantage of it.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. We had quite the storms here last night.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone! Patty- I hope DS is truly better. Meds have their place, even with side effects. Night nurses forget that the world likes to sleep!!He can always ask to skip VS and do labs in a more timely manner. We do it all of the time- a little rule bending is fine, as long as it is safe. Bopper- I think your new pet is cool- have you named him? I have the Firm 500, I like that one. Nomless-I am glad you had peace to workout. Future- is the office all set? moving all that sounds like a workout tome! I have no report- too much work, too much being out and about ..oh well. Enjoy the holiday
